Will this finally settle the Manning - Brady debate?

So calling your own plays makes you the greatest of all time? Manning was 14-13 in the playoffs(the last 3 wins were all by Denver's Defense). Brady is 29-10.

Winning 5 NFL MVPs (best player in the league) and 7-times All-Pro (best at position) does it.
These records are untouchable.

No. When PM had won 1.
According to Brady, being on a SB winning team does not make you the greatest at your position.
It doesn't, but it is part of the equation. Stats are great but I will take wins all day long over stats. Both of them are winners, Brady has done it more times though. There are a lot of factors in stats. Manning played in a dome for all home games in Indy vs Brady playing in the cold weather.

Is Marv Fleming the Greatest Tight End of All Time?
He was 5-0 in Championship Games?

Your analysis is naive. Brady plays QB on a great team but only 3 NFL MVPs and only 3 times All-Pro.
Otto Graham played 10 years, got to Championship Game every time. Went 7-3.
Bart Starr got to 6 Championship Games. Went 5-1.

Tom Brady has taken his team to the AFC Championship game 13 of 18 years. He's 9-4 in those games--which are equivalent to the NFL Championships back in Bart and Otto's day.

Otto threw the ball on average about 23 times per game....and was a career 56% passer with 174 TDs and 135 ints....
Bart threw the ball on average about 17 times per game...and was a career 57% passer with. 152 TDs and 138 ints...

Brady throws the ball on average about 35 times per game...and is a career 64% passer with 517 TDs and 171 ints....

Our Beloved PM threw the ball on average about 35 times per game....career 65% passer with 539 TDs and 251 ints....
and had his team in the AFC championship 5 times over his career with a 3-2 record in those games.

Manning NEVER won an AFC championship with the Colts away from DOME-field advantage.

Now, just who is being naive here?

Guess we see things differently, those patriots teams were overall much better than those colts teams.... if they played each other and you took Brady and Manning off their teams and put generic qb’s on them both the patriots win 9 times out of 10. As a matter of fact the year Brady went down in the first or second game of the year the patriots still went 11-5 with the backup qb, the year manning was out for the colts they went 1-15, I don’t know that speaks volumes to me.

This point shouldn’t be over looked. Why I think peytin is the best. Patriots have the best coach and system. Cassel proved it.

Wasn't Otto Graham all pro 7 times?

Yes. Next QB is 5 -- Unitas and Luckman.
Brady at 3 (and finished there) has the most of active QBs.
Manning's 7 is untouchable.
FYI, at 7-3, Graham has a better Championship Record than Brady.
So does Bart Starr: 5-1.
Leaves Brady without much by way of individual achievements.

Manning's isn't untouchable if Graham has 7...

The stats are not that far away from each other, so yes the wins in playoffs and mainly super bowls puts Brady over the top.

Brady is 1-3 v PManning in Championship Games (1-5 v all Mannings).
Winning a conference championship is not an NFL Championship.
All Brady has to commend him is participating on a Dynasty (See, Terry Bradshaw).
He's not close to the best post-season player.

Graham is no longer playing.

Lol, I understand. You were saying 7 was a record held by Manning and was untouchable(you mentioned a couple different times). Just pointing out somebody actually got there before him.

The thing I find humorous is everyone talks about how great the patriots are and I think their roster has been terrible for the last 7 or so years.

Flavor of the week rb’s, wr’s like Danny amendola that do squat anywhere else, no name defenders like rob ninkovich.

Most gms would not trade their roster for NE’s except for Gronk, Brady, flowers and a couple of o-lineman

The point is that somehow Belichick always finds a way to get these less talented players to play their best for him.
