Will this finally settle the Manning - Brady debate?

This is the 5th of 6 sbs where Brady had very little impact. He has never been dominating in a Sb.
Lol you’re so full of crap. He didn’t have an impact against St Louis? He didn’t have an impact against Carolina? He didn’t have an impact against Seattle? He didn’t have an impact against Atlanta?

You are right. The Patriots are a superior team to the teams Peyton played on. I mean did you see what their defense did against one of the best offenses in the NFL? Sheesh.
Id say some of it was nerves and such of a team that lacked experience in the spotlight. Let's not forget, they shouldnt have been there anyway. But year brady is the best qb ever.

Sounds like Peyton’s second SB win. And the win against the Bears was no clinic. When your team goes to the SB 9 times and wins 6 times? You ain’t a game manager...c’mon now.

Well thats kind of unfair to say. While it probably would have resulted in a TD with the blown call in the Saints game, there is no guarantee that NO would have scored. Brees could have thrown an INT or there could have been a fumble. And NO got the ball first in OT with a chance to win and Brees blew it. So no, the Rams absolutely deserved to be there.

Brady isnt the best ever. He is the best of his era. There is no best ever and there can never be.

Super Bowl 38 vs Carolina: 32-48 354 yds three tds 1 interception. Clearly no impact.

Super Bowl 39 vs the Eagles: 23-33 236 yards two touchdowns no interceptions. Clearly no impact.

Super Bowl 49 vs the Seahawks: 37-50 328 yards four touchdowns two interceptions. Clearly no impact.

Super bowl 51 vs Atlanta: 43-62 466 yards two touchdowns 1 interception. Clearly no impact.

Brady was not much tonight but you cant say he wasnt a key factor in getting them there,. Reality is that BB's Patriots are one of the most dominant teams ever and Brady is a really good QB - no, he is not the GOAT tho as an individual player.

The truth is, it doesn't matter what any of the Brady haters say. He's going to be remembered as the greatest. And even as a lifelong Vol, if I had to pick one to lead my team in the Super Bowl, I'm picking Brady. 6 rings will do that for you.

Never out of the game. Always one play from winning it if he doesn’t.

Otto Graham: 7.

Game MVPs?
Manning was MVP in every game he played since he was 12.
Lol. Like the 2006 wild card game against KC when he threw four picks and had to be bailed out by his defense? Like the 2003 AFC championship game in Foxborough when he threw four picks? MVP! MVP! Mvp!

Brady has been bailed out by his D in every SB win.
Not a great big game QB.
PManning 3-1 v Pats in Championship Games.

The only game where he was a difference maker was the Atlanta game. Didn’t do anything special in any of the other ones that any other qb couldnt have. First three all defense. Wow 140 yards in first. Threw two costly interceptions in Seattle game. Defense stole game. Sucked tonight.

They didnt need a td.
And ok, this thread is a debate of Manning/Brady....glad we agree

Its just like Peytons second win. Look at all of NEs SB wins and what will you find? Their defense plays lights out. You are right, Peytons game against the Bears wasnt that great. This was a good win for the Pats. As to who is the best between them, its hard to say. You cannot use wins and losses because of how many other players are involved. How much greater would Brady have been with Mannings offensive weapons? How much greater would Manning have been with Belicheck and Bradys defensive teams? Impossible to know. It just seems that you and some other really dont put enough emphasis on how important a great defense is. Look at the Packers, Rodgers is a great QB. He has had all kinds of offensive firepower, but what hasnt he had? Great defenses. What do you think Rodgers woukd have done if he would have had a top 10 scoring defense at least for 80-85% of his career?

There is a reason the statement, defense wins championships stands the test of time. All that being said, Tom Brady is unquestionably an all time great, first ballot hall of famer and one of the greatest players to ever play. Manning is also those things. But deciding on exactly who is better is nothing more than opinion. Because there is no way to truly settle it.
