Will this finally settle the Manning - Brady debate?

Nope. Manning would have more rings with New England and Brady likely wouldn’t have any with the colts and Broncos.

I agree with this. I don’t think any quarterback would have won it with the teams the Colts had. They would have been above average at best. However, I could see Brady winning with the Broncos. They were loaded.

Yes. probably would have won with the 2015 Denver. Many QBs could likely have been plugged in on that team and still won. Just like many QBs could have been plugged in NE's first three SB teams and still won.

Typical VN. Brady can't just be the GOAT, Peyton sucks and is a terrible person.
No reasonable middle ground. Always with the “if you ask...?” BS. Guy’s still a god in Indy. Ask the droves with his jersey and their kids named after him. Sure you can find SOMEONE in a town that doesn’t like the local icon...but they’re the bitter outliers

Everyone is focused on the colts game. That had no impact. However since Brady got busted for that game it’s likely to assume that he had been deflating balls for a long time and that it did have an impact on other games. I also believe there were games early in his career where he knew exactly what the defense was going to call do to stealing their signals. There will never be 100% agreement in his legacy due to questionable activities.

And Aaron Rodgers prefers his footballs inflated to the max level...and a little over. There's a reason no QB's commented on that issue.

Manning showed his A$$ to a female trainer in college and Brady wore fury boots in an ad.

Oh wait? Wrong discussion

I said I'd stay away, but here is a final stat.....

Tom Brady has appeared in 13 conference championship games. Only the Dallas Cowboy, San Francisco 49er, and Pittsburgh Steeler franchises have had more appearances as a franchise.

Brady has appeared in more Super Bowls than any NFL Franchise.

System QB.

If he was the principal reason for the Dynasty's success (i.e., sine qua non), he'd have been recognized as more valuable.
At only 3 x NFL MVP and 3 x All-Pro, he's been recognized as a system player.

You can still appreciate Peyton for the talent that he was without comparing him to Tom Brady. Brady is the GOAT. You're in deep denial if you can't see that. I don't understand why so many people spend time and energy hating him. If you love football, just sit down, shut up, and enjoy watching a guy that has already had (at least) two Hall of Fame careers.

By what metric is Brady GOAT?

LOL Nice chain of idiotic posts. Brady's job is not to set records, and he rarely had the personnel to allow that anyway. And did you ever think that he was only 3 time All Pro BECAUSE he is a Patriot? Sheez.

By the only one that matters - SB wins. FYI-I don’t like him at all but can clearly see he is more than a system QB... but keep making excuses because that’s all that is left.

Geez get over the comparison. Peyton can look his little bro in the eye cause their tied at two.

Yeah I agree, Brady has had the benefit of an absolutely elite head coach his entire career, why people make light of this fact I have no idea. 2 things are always needed for dynasties at the pro level. 1) at least a few great players ( which Brady certainly is.) and 2) a legendary coach. Brady and belichick made each other what they are in the playoffs... manning never had the other half.

Elite?

As in Barry Bonds Elite?

I try and look at what both had to work with, the players around them. Brady has a huge advantage because Bill produced very good defenses in New England. Peyton, I think had a lot better offensive weapons but only had 2 seasons where he had top notch defenses, ironically he won the SB those years. I still give the edge to Brady because he has 5 rings to Manning’s 2. Live Peyton though

I look at last year’s SB. Philly scored at will and they had to COME BACK to win. And anyone being honest didn’t breathe easy til that last pass was dropped by Gronk.

Is an all pro offensive line not considered an ‘offensive’ weapon? I have never seen any qb have more time to just stand there and wait for someone to get open. He has enough time to eat a sandwich. Pretty fortunate for a guy who runs a 6 second 40. Not sure why anyone ever give his oline credit which is one of the main reasons for his success.

I can’t watch him play. It makes me throw up in my mouth to watch him act like an entitled 5 year old. Same effect as Hillary. Just looking at both of them makes me nauseous. Just can’t watch. I always rooted for the other great in the nfl to be successful but not him. Too unlikeable.

Where are all these all-pro offensive linemen that you speak of? The pats have had one offensive lineman make an all-pro team in the past five years. That was Marcus Cannon in 2016. The current starting group is made up of a third round pick, a fourth round pick, a fifth round pick, a seventh round pick, and an undrafted free agent.
