Will McBride Commits

The GOAT never won the Hypesmen

You can't build a NC team on 3* players. A few here and there to fill out roster spots. But not a majority of your class

Tom Brady? He was a 3 star. :) Joking (kinda) and I would use blue font, but the personal records are in sight and he prolly wins (at least) another ring before he hangs it up.

It took Kiffin all of 24 hours to get a better QB than this one to commit to Florida Freaking Atlantic. So much for the flute player being a great closer.

Yeah, this commitment, just like all of our other low rated recruits, has Florida, Georgia and the rest of the SEC just shaking in their boots.

Butch is sure building with some low quality bricks (brick by brick) these days, and we all know he's not gonna out coach anybody.

Thing don't look to be bright on Rocky Top for the next few years, until we find somebody who can get the job done. Butch can't cut the mustard, and that's obvious.

I've seen him listed at 6"0 and 200 lbs on Scout, and 6' 1" 190 lbs on 247.

He was quoted as saying 6'1 1/2 so that's what I was going off of. But either way he can sling it and is accurate on short, intermediate and deep passes which has been lacking since Bray left.

We have consistently out-recruited Florida during Butch's tenure and are on track to do it again this year. They probably should be shaking in their boots

This post is so stupid on so many levels.
You are an embarrassment to everything you stand for.

Dude you missed the blue font. QB was not the highest of priority this year and we have some pretty impressive bricks already in place this year including the #1 recruit in the nation by some sites. Just wait there are some other impressive ones coming.

Questions for you: If we are out-recruiting them, then why can't we beat them out to win the SEC East? By exactly how much further to we have to out recruit them before we can get past them to Atlanta?

The bottom line is: 3-star Botch, just ain't getting the job done.

Lot of ignorance in this thread. At year 5, you don't NEED 10 5* players every year to win. Yes you will win every year if you got that, but until you tell UA and OSU (and now UM) to stop taking them all then SHUT IT! At this stage you need 3-5 superstars each year mixed in with kids that fit your system that can be role players. Guess what, those are the 3* kids. They have to do 1-2 things really well (ex. run block, pass rush, speed, catch, special teams, etc.) and then plug them in to support the superstars. You can then pick up others that have the physical measurements, but just might be raw. It's why you have an 85 man roster (plus walk-ons). Only 11 can play at one time (unless you are Dooley) so gotta get role players and depth.

Watched his video. I was impressed with:
  • Quick release (albeit a little low to shoulder)
  • Stride-for-stride Accurate
  • Great vision
  • Great footwork
  • Pocket "presents" (just had to)
  • Elusive
  • Well spoken

Good grief. Are you really using Tom Brady as the example in this situation? Absurd.

Basically a 3 star that Michigan took a flyer on because of a tape his dad sent the coaches? Nah! :)

  • Almost a snapping sidearm type but will leave it to the experts to determine if it needs to be fiddled with !
Johnny Manzel type in my view !

Texas QB Will McBride flips from Memphis Tigers to Tennessee Vols

He plans to arrive at Tennessee next month as an early enrollee, which will allow him to participate in the Vols’ spring practices.

“It definitely had something to do with it, just the fact that the spot’s wide open and the best guy’s going to play. I truly believe that’s how it should be done,” McBride said.

“And if I’m not the best guy, I’ll be a Volunteer. I’ll do whatever I can to help our team win. But if I am the guy, I’ll do the same thing. I’ll have the same attitude every day. It’s all about winning, and whatever it takes to do that, that’s what’s going to happen. It’s just about the hard work and winning ballgames.”
