Offer list doesn't matter, meaning how many college coaches and scouts have seen this kid play and passed on him? But you, some random internet nobody, has seen enough video to know the kid can ball.
Correct. We need bodies at the position as either QD or JG will certainly transfer at some point. Glad he's here, but I find myself very quickly pivoting to the 2018 qb target list. Atlanta Vol says we're still very much in on Lawrence and that's very good news imo.
In his Rivals video at 1:30 the kid delivers a 20 yard pass on the run, throwing across his body, with defenders in his face, on a dime. Looks like he has a natural cannon, great mobility, and good vision. I'm not a scout but that video is pretty impressive. Also, 23 TDs and 4 INTs is nice to hear considering our turnover woes. Some of you people are just miserable.
Welcome to Big Orange Country my man
My friend you said EXACTLY what I was thinking...especially the part about the exact kind of QB we needed to take for this class...no need for everybody to make him out as the next coming of Manziel (maybe he is but come on now). I saw where a guy in Memphis trying to soften the blow said it was the only decision for him to make because he would be 3rd AT BEST on Memphis depth chart and had a good chance of starting at UT next year...I paused and chuckled a bit I must admit....Let me try to help since you can't think on your own. We got the #1 DT QB last year. Your not going to pull in a highly ranked QB this class with three 4* QBs in front of them.
You keep referencing Bama and their higly rated QBs. Do you not remember what happend this year. Their other 5* transferred. If Hurst was to get injured in practice they will be hurting in the playoffs.
If you watch his film this kid passes the eye test with flying colors. He is definitely a 4* by his play and throws. Just because they don't visit this or that persons camp doesn't matter.
He is the perfect QB take for our situation. 2018 is when you go after the next big fish QB.
I've seen him listed at 6"0 and 200 lbs on Scout, and 6' 1" 190 lbs on 247.
Listed as 6' 2" on Rivals but who knows what the actual height is. Would explain why he is being overlooked if he is really only 6'. Was a big reason why people overlooked Johnny Manziel, Russell Wilson, Drew Brees, etc... Either way the kid can ball. Excited to see him in orange after watching that tape.
If he is an EE, that means he can play in the Spring game right?
