I'm too lazy to look up the article but I just read somewhere a few days ago that said the Titans field was actually one of the best ones in the league and I could be wrong but I believe that was being stated by the players themselves.
they've had a lot of problems in the past with the field. First they had TSU play all their home games there which added to the problems. TSU has done some repairs on Hale stadium on campus so not as many games are held at Nissan which helps. Then, as the season would wear on, they couldn't keep it plush or green unlike other grass turfs specifically Neyland. It would be late Nov/early Dec and it looked like they were playing on a baseball infield. They wouldn't install field turf because Jeff Fisher didn't want it. Not sure how Munch felt or Whiz feels now but they haven't installed it yet nor talked about the idea. I am glad to see it at least appear better.
I don't think it will make any difference in recruiting at all and it takes away the number of home games at Neyland Stadium
it isn't like young players in the Nashville area haven't been watching the mighty Vols on TV anyway
I really wish this game was in Neyland and not in Nashville. I know it's great for recruiting great for fans in middle an west tennessee and all that but I would like to be selfish an wished I was headed to knoxville this afternoon.
