So where are you from?

Why thankyou my good man!

I think it's very interesting that a University team can be so heavily supported. Seeing as I can't name any teams playing for Universities over here.... It's so different, but not in a good way.

(My old maths teacher is a Nuggets fan) I feel sorry for both of you after last years fiasco...
What part of London are you in. My cousin's son and wife (he has his masters/mech eng. from UT) are in London actually.

Haha yeah it was a huge distraction but they battled through it and still made the playoffs which was pretty crazy!

For me, college sports brings out true athletes and the true fan. Players put a lot of effort (for no pay) to compete while trying to keep up in their studies (I work full time and go to school full time and find it hard to keep up...couldn't imagine!), so its great to watch. Its hard to explain the "fandom" but it seems like you are starting to understand some of things I like aka THE TRADITION!

I have that book, it's a damn good book. Other good books, Southern fried football by Tony Barnhart, On Rocky Top by Clay Travis, Dixieland Delight by Clay Travis, The Swamp Rat (don't know exactly who wrote it)
Football as a war game a book about Gen Robert Neyland.

That's all I think of at this time.

Awesome books.

*Coughs* SMU....

I know quite a bit about the UT tradition, I have a print out version of the "give my all sign" that I boshed up on MS word which is stuck over my bedroom door.... So when I feel down in the morning I can tap it on my way out of my room and try to motivate myself... Creepy, I know...

I will attach a picture at some point...

I am glad you think so, my friends laugh and call me insane, I however reply: "you would do the same if you gave it a chance". That usually shuts them up!

I will try and get a picture taken tomorrow.

You need new friends, preferably Vol fan friends. Post often.

It's not easy finding Vol friends over here as you can imagine... One of my mates half supports Boise state... :( although he did bring my back a vols hat from new York a few weeks ago do I can't complain!

Born in Miami Beach, Fl but moved to Savannah, Ga. at only 18 months and then to North Carolina 6 months later. :eek:lol:

I've lived all over NC but have lived about 25 miles north of Charlotte, NC for the last 15 years in the Lake Norman area.

My father was born and raised in Knoxville and got his degree from UT. I started watching UT sports as a kid and it's now been 40 years. :eek:hmy:

Lexington, KY, but if all goes as planned We will soon be relocating to Knoxville, TN! F Lexington, KY!

Hope it all goes to plan! You need to get out of their before the wildcats get you!

I love listening to you haha, I'm definitely gonna be reading the off season away while playing some NCAA Football for my 360 and I would also recommend finding yankeefanintennessee's youtube channel. He has entire games on there, you can go back and watch classic Vol games.

:lolabove: You make a good point!

There are a couple of people on here that make the signs if I remember correctly...Ill try to find those posts if you haven't seen them already. I haven't really looked to see if they manufacture a replica sign or not though...

Honestly, I'm away at school and I left my 360 at home and keep forgetting it. So I'm going to have to play more dynasty when I get my 360. I think the furthest I got was maybe a season or two as a head coach with Tennessee.

Born in Fort Knox KY to a true military man...traveled around A LOT as a kid, but grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, were all back "home" in the Bluff City, Piney Flats, Bristol area....One of my earliest memories was hearing Johnny Majors was coming home to Tennessee...Dad got out in Fort Knox and we settled in that area for economic reasons, but still cheered for the Vols...Dad has since retired (twice) and moved home to Bristol and I had the good fortune (or mis-fortune) of meeting a gal from the southern part of Indiana and moving to be with her...but still, I cheer for the VOLS!!!

Seriously awesome channel.

Start with the '98 Arkansas game. It's hard to get better than that. Although most of the '98 Florida game is there too.

Other great ones that he's got on there:

'01/02 Michigan Capital One Bowl? (not 100% sure this is there)

'02 Arkansas game (6 OTs)

'03 Alabama game (5 OTs)

'03 Miami game (defensive struggle against a top ten team)

'04 Florida game (second half only is there)

'04 Georgia game

'07 Kentucky game

The '05 LSU game also might be there, but I can't remember for sure.
