That is sick.

Tell me about it....

They don't touch the Yankees, since so many people wear yankees gear you would be fooled into thinking you were outside Yankee stadium all the time. However, I have seen too many bama and gator hats for my liking.... :machgun:

You should have come out earlier. I was in London for a week in July and would have had a great story to tell about talking Tennessee football in London with a Brit.
PS. Must say, I love that city.

things you should learn as a vol fan:

Learn the words to rocky top and love it.

Read about our state history and understand why were are called the volunteers.

Learn about the godfather of ut football gen. Robert r. Neyland.

Learn and love to hate the alabama crimson tide and the florida gators!!, uga, uscjr, uk, vandy, lswho, auburn, ole miss, msu and just for giggles tamu and mizzou!

learn about the history of the sec and the history of it's members.

Most important learn and know our history. Some might say that's not important but if your gonna be a fan, be a smart fan. Don't be a smart ass dummy.

fyp!

Meh, London is London to me... Dirty and filled with soccer fans.... I class my collection of US sports apparel (which I wear all the time) as a shield from Man U fans and Rugby nutters...

I wish I could have met you, it would have been awesome....

Hey if anyone is coming over soon, would love to meet up!

Also, if anyone needs any guidance or help with a trip over here I would be happy to help.

YAY I have finally found someone else who supports the Hurricanes! The hurricanes were the first US sports team I started to support back in late 2004... Good times..

Wow! Thats quite a story! :)

haha thanks man. The first game i watched was the 2001 TN-FLA game with my uncle. had no idea what American football was and he explained everything to me. Now thanks to this board i usually have friends from the States asking me about our team and recruiting questions. Also if you havent watched that game its a must. an instant classic. And why dont you like soccer? its fun to play and watch. :hi:

I've been a big Lightning fan for pretty much my whole life, but I moved to Raleigh/Durham this year and am getting into the Canes as my second team. I post occasionally on canescountry and am trying to get a better feel for everything. Seems like it's Paul Maurice's time to go.

If you're ever in the States (or this part of the states, I suppose) during hockey season, look me up and we'll catch a game. I have a mini-season ticket plan this year. Was actually at the Flyers game last night (ugh).

SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP

(just sayin')

30 Years in DC and now living in Wake Forest, I am quite used to post season failure, meltdown, etc for the Caps, but that Tampa series last year pissed me off. Looked so good in the first round then so bad against the Lightning.

Thanks so much for the offer, I can only dream of seeing my beloved Hurricanes. I am coming to the states next year but to the wrong coast... I don't have enough money to stay in a hotel or anything, so I am staying with friends in LA so I can see a Raider game.... I am desparate to go so what could I do...

It was a good game, Canes scored first and was 1-0 at the end of the first. It got ugly for them after that though :birgits_giggle:

I know, I was up at 2:00am on a school night watching... I felt like death the next morning...

They stopped NHL tv coverage in Europe this year so we are all forced to watch illegal streams and stay up till stupid o'clock just to see our teams get battered.. :cray:

I've lived in middle Tennessee my whole life (22 years). Lived about half my life in Nashville and the other half in Murfreesboro. Been a Vols fan since I was a kid. Being born in Tennessee, I couldn't imagine pulling for anyone other than the home state Volunteers. I am however a huge Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders fan after living in Murfreesboro, but the Vols will always be number 1.
