For the sake of the current offensive roster (Specifically the QB and WR's), I would take Cut right now. Literally has the best track record of developing QB's in the SEC right now.
Would be the best thing that could happen to JG and QD.... Cut isn't scared to run two QB systems and he usually makes them work when he has the talent....
You are aware that, not counting Alabama, that the other 13 SEC schools played 13 games against the other Power 5 Conferences this year? The record of the great SEC was 5-8. 2 of the 5 wins were in OT or 2 OT's. U.T. had one of the wins against Va. Tech. I wouldn't want a rematch.Lol at comparing the Pac12 to the SEC.
Every team in the SEC has at least 3 loses except Bama. Actually Vandy right now is probably the second best team in the East. The real experts understand what happened to Tenn with all its defense scuttled by injuries. The Vols can fix it all with a nice bowl win over someone in the Music City or Liberty bowls.
Normally I'd be right there with you but last night was the last straw. He's not taking us anywhere other than 8 to 9 wins. Only hope of him succeeding is if UT breaks the bank hiring assistants. Now, saying that what from our previous history would make you think we are willing to do this? Hard to put together a lame duck all star staff.
I feared we'd be a consistent 8-9 win team under CBJ. Obviously better than the 5 or 6 win years but not good enough.
What I didn't expect was those 8 or 9 win years would include losses to the likes of SC and Vandy. Figured we'd lose 3-4 to teams like Bama, UF, UGA and whoever we play from the SECW like A&M, Auburn or LSU.
Since we beat UF and UGA this year it should've easily been a 10 win season. But I guess I even underestimated the Butch effect.
I've tried to read this entire thread... really tried. The best I got was from the poster, after reading 1456 messages, "This thread is a waste of time!" I've got to stop and get ready for church or I'd have at least finished it all.
And, ya'll, that is an insight into all of us writing, opining and complaining. It won't change anything. But I understand why we do it.
From everything I've heard it's Blackburn. Too many of the right people want him.
The AD is extremely important at this point and he has the ability to pull everything together to fix it.
Dabo hired great coordinators and now is in the national title picture 2 years in a row
