Your chit is getting old. Just who the he77 do you think could walk on water and pull us out of this mess over night? You cant or wont listen to the fact that Pruitt took over a good high school team size wise. He is limited to the number of HORSES he can bring in each year. This is going to take time. I will be waiting to hear the coach you have lined up that can walk across the TN River to the stadium everyday. The right coach has his team ready and prepared to beat Ga. St.
Taking into account your post I responded to combined with just a bit of common sense, if this is what you think I said, then I have to assume one of two things. Either your just making sh!t up or you’re stupid.According to your post, there was absolutely no reason to play the game.
Well, I guess we should settle on the criteria for determining that a coach is "the right coach" after only 17 games...and in a complete rebuild of a program.
I wonder what UNC thought about Mack Brown after he went 1-10 in his first 2 seasons as their HC all those years ago.
I can't defend a 1-4 record that should be 3-2 right now for sure.
But CJP has this team playing much better FB when compared to our first game--exponentially better!
We lost 41-0 in 2017 at home to UGA...38-12 last year....and we were in this game at the end of the first half tonight in spite of the HUGE gap in talent and depth between us and UGA.
NO--I'm certainly not happy with a 29 point loss at home....but we're playing a true FR QB and 6 other FR on this team.
And their last score was because our true FR QB didn't recognize a corner blitz was coming...
Finishing 6-6 is still possible, but not likely. I think we can win 4 of the last 7 if our offense plays like it did for most of the 1st half tonight.
I would definitely feel better if we finish 6-6 and land a top 10--15 recruiting class.
While I sense the sarcasm in your post I will however do my best to answer your questions, as far as Butch when he had winning seasons he had really good players, Dobbs, Kamara, Hurd, Barnett, JRM,Sutton just to name a few yet we still underachieved. Once those players graduated or left early then you started to see the lack of depth due to recruiting. Dobbs playmaking ability covered up alot. As far as the revolt you referred to, Butch had a way atleast from what I had seen of letting the players run the team and do what they wanted instead of what was expected of them he tried to be more of a friend then a coach to some of the players all the while being tougher on others, which led to a split in the locker room. Now enter Pruitt who is trying to coach alot of laziness and players who may have been used to doing things on their own terms and once again there is a divide, I'm not saying Pruitt is the right coach to change it or get it done, imo dealing with stuff like this an experienced coach may have been the better option. Recruiting is the only thing that will fix the depth issues we have which are far and beyond what we've had the last few seasons not just talent wise but also attitude and passion.First, thanks for your time providing entertainment to we fans. Now my questions. Since you are around the teams, why was Jones able to have mostly winning seasons with that talent and what happened behind the scenes that caused the revolt? Will we have the same “young” issues next year on offense by losing the starting WRs, TE, and maybe starting a new QB? With the newer 25 limit on recruiting, won’t it be an almost impossible job to create a roster full of top talent when top talent will be turning over every 3 years, assuming Pruitt needs top talent to win. By the way, I am not high on CJP but have no opinion on whether to fire or keep. Just would like to win. Thanks for your informed answers.
Then change it. You should be awesome enough for the rest of us.I totally agree. Sometimes I question if these are really Tennessee fans. Sometimes I wonder if these people aren't plants by the administration to come out here and say support the coach. If they really are true fans then we are really in trouble. It goes to show we have a losing fan base as well as a losing team and we don't demand better so we don't deserve better. Schools like Alabama and Florida they get it right because their fan base demands it. We have fans that want to celebrate because we win the coin toss. Very frustrating.

If everybody was like me the world would be perfect...yeah that’s started a few empires. Bama went through a stretch of not so greatness. Their fans didn’t empty Bryant Denny. Firing every coach after one or two seasons didn’t land them Saban...timing did. There was a smattering of “why us!” when Rich Rodriguez reneged and stayed at West Virginia, but all the REAL FANS were available when it worked out. You’re not better because you whine better.Believe me if I could change it I would. If there were more people like me the expected more out of our program down there there might be changes. We have too many fans happy with the status quo.
Pruitt and Fulmer know what it will take to rebuild the Vols. There are no short cuts. Vols have an outstanding staff and the checkbook to keep building a premiere program. Whiny impatient fans need to follow another team. The freshmen playing now will lead the way back. This is Year 1 on an 8 year plan to return to dominance.
At best, because it’s only 17 games he gets a grade of incomplete.
But, people need to step back and really take stock of this. Someone used to joke about Butch or Dooley that they set the bar so low so that they could claim improvement when they went 7-5.
That’s exactly what’s happened here. The bar is so low because of losing to Georgia State, etc., that there are people really excited about last nights game
The team played hard and people are thrilled they actually played hard when that should be a given.
They had a good quarter and everyone is choosing to ignore that they were thoroughly dominated in every phase of the game at home.
Again, there were positives last night. There were.
But, using this as proof that you found the right guy....I don’t get it. Sorry.
