No, they were not "blaming Butch." Man, some people jump on a thought that isn't even there and run with it. Those posts were to the effect that people realize it's a coach policy, appreciate it, but wish we knew if Von was going to ever be charged or not with what seems like an inordinately long investigation without charges. Nobody said, "it's Butch's fault Von isn't back." No one.

Also, if Von is innocent, he may have done nothing to put himself in any situation other than coming into contact with a crazy person. If he's guilty, sure he did. But if he didn't do anything, then what situation exactly did he put himself in? Breathing the air? If you are presuming neither one nor the other, then you also can't assume he put himself in this position.

The ONLY reason Pearson is not on the team is because Butch doesn't want him there. Butch can reinstate him whenever he sees fit, even if he is charged. Don't try to put blame anywhere other than on Butch.

Again....what position did he put himself in? Looks to me that only person that needs to be held to account at this point is evidently the young lady who appears to have wrongfully accused Von. We're 2 months into this and Von has yet to be charged and those who are reporting on this (Hubbs, Rucker, et al) are pretty much saying that there's no evidence to suggest he did what she said he did and that we should look for him to return to the team this summer.

If Von is charged with a crime and it's made public the details of the evidence of what's been accused and we see that he actually did "put himself in that situation" then ok, I'm with you. Until that time though, given what we seem to know at this point, not a chance.

UPDATE ALERT:

After months of speculation and the Knoxville police gathering testimonies and evidence, the fans on VolNation.com have confirmed they don't do so well when waiting to hear whether Von Pearson will be back or not. Reports suggest that while some things have been said against one another, if Pearson is reinstated they will be one big happy family again.

I've spent most of my life around competent, effective police forces. KPD isn't one of them.

Look at the people that become cops...the 2 people I went to high school with that became cops were basic ass C students and losers with no friends, and they think being a cop will finally give them respect. Well, they're in for a rude awakening though when they realize it's 2015 and hardly anyone respects or trusts cops anymore...and less so every day when another cop goes full retard and kills another unarmed suspect.

People become cops because their life didn't go as planned and they couldn't get a real job, so they thought they'd finally be "cool" and respected, so they took a job that nearly anyone qualifies for. Not saying that all cops are losers with an iq under 60 and but far more than any other "profession".

This is about as dumb a comment as I have read on VN, and that is saying a lot. You sound like you are about 12. Would you say that about those in the military? Some leave the military and become cops. Are they losers as well? Some people actually like helping others. Cops and military do a job that not most will do. I appreciate all that they do, because without them, there would be straight anarchy.

Don't worry, I won't. I've dealt with multiple thefts and breakins without ever filing a police report. The only time I will ever be in need of of police is if I'm in a car wreck, and I don't think they have much choice but to respond regardless of my lack of respect for Leo's. And I clearly stated that not all coppers are low life's, and I def don't think the same of the military. Yes, a lot of people in the military are uptight tools, but they do defend our country and deserve every penny they make since they're actually doing something that makes a difference.

Also, I love how people want to attack me for belittling cops when I'm not in the minority when it comes to the police situation in this country. They're the punch line of our nation right now, and yall may not mind the fact that cops are blatantly committing hate crimes and getting away with it in many cases, but a good portion of the nation does.

Sometimes it is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and to remove all doubt. You said something stupid with the first post, and then you double downed on stupid with your second post.

So what, are you a vigilante? I take it you don't have insurance then. How do you take care of break ins and thefts with out a police report? Do you sit in the corner and cry? Do you put on your big boy pants and go out looking for trouble like they do in the movies? You are such a bad ass...why do you need cops for a wreck?

You seem like the type that runs from the police, but you don't even know why you are running.
