The Russians never really left Cuba so to speak. Just that their fleet fell into great disrepair and sailing a bunch of ships on a goodwill mission gets expensive.

Cube is an interesting case though. They love Castro there, despite what we learn about in our media, but they also know that life is good elsewhere. Once the Castro brothers are out of power, I'd say that nation wakes up and realizes that a lot of American dollars go elsewhere in the Caribbean and start taking a turn towards the free market. Or maybe even adopt the Chinese model of socialist market economy.

And next we will have "referendums" on removing themselves from the Ukraine and being put under the "protection" of Russia.

It seems like a lot of these reports of an impending invasion are coming from inside Ukraine, possibly from people who could stand to benefit from foreign assistance.

Just sayin'.
