Trey was being favorably compared to Quenton Nelson after his freshmen year and Nelson went 6th. Then the blood clots happened. And more importantly for his draft status, Will Friend happened...Love Trey, but he's a guard in the NFL. Guards don't go in the top 10. That along with his condition is why his stock isn't as high as our fans want to think.
This is nuts!
What's even the risk of drafting Trey Smith at this point? Most 6th round picks are expected to be busts. Even if there's a 25% chance of him being a serviceable player for a few years, he'd be a bargain here. And dude has Pro Bowl level talent. I don't understand the logic of NFL GMs. He was worth a gamble in the 3rd or 4th round; he's an extreme value pick at this point.
It’s gotta be his health concerns.
I watched his senior bowl practice stuff and his technique at times was dreadful. On pass pro he would get way to far forward with his chest and got beat easily. That is fixable, but should not be present still. That has really hurt his grade as well.
I wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of teams took him off their boards completely. This is nuts!

They were highlighting our QB, and the great QB coach we had...By the way, where is coach these days?? LOLBesides Trey not getting drafted in the first 3 rounds, the other thing that bugged me about the draft is when they highlighted a player's skills during a game, the opposing team was often TN (basically our LOWlights). For example, both of Kentucky's pick six's were shown.
