Talked to a good source tonight and I don’t expect a decision quickly. Tech is a contender but I think Kentucky’s biggest competition right now is LSU, who is also stalling to wait on a couple of other potential options

Long story short…Kentucky still in a very solid spot. I think the musical chairs of a couple of other kids is going to have an impact (including one kid not yet in the portal). It may take a few days to get an answer.

Yeah he isn't "open up the briefcases" good. That 69 yard passing game against NE was the only time I saw him live. Kinda erratic passer. I mean I'd take him here, but we can get the same for less or better.

And I would 100000% take 2nd year Joey over him like duh.

There’s not many good ones out there tbh.

The thing is nobody knows who is gonna be good. Is everyone certain Leavitt is gonna be what he used to be? Thess QBs going to different teams and systems, it’s no guarantee. Look at Chambliss. Did anyone even know who he was??? He came from nowhere and killed it under Kiffin. With QBs I think it’s more the system. Think about it. Did you honest think Aguilar would end up as one of the best QBs in the SEC? I know I didn’t.

As another poster said about us not having any QB visits lined up, something is up. Now what.? I have no clue.

If Joey happens to get another year, what do we think happens with his comp? Surely he’d renegotiate? I don’t know much about the qbs in the portal other than the ASU kid has a bad foot. If Joey can come back, wouldn’t we rather have him? If so, save some dry powder because his value is rising.
