Yup but he would be worth the big money. The only qb in the portal now I think that’s worth it is sorsby. Hopefully tech gets Sorsby and LSU/Kentucky get Leavitt then Ole Miss takes an L and he enters the portal. It’d be a lot easier to win the war without LSU and Tech who’s throwing around $$$$

You really think he is worth $5 million?? I don’t. Especially with the needs we have elsewhere. Now if Soresby was at say $3 or $3.5 million then maybe.

Yeah, Id be fine with getting him back another year. The great thing is by the time the ruling comes down, probably most or all of the big money schools will be set at QB, which will not drive his number up too much. I'd give him a bump but wont have to break the bank. He will be plenty good enough for this offense and should be better in year 2. You at least know what hes capable of in this system versus taking a chance on bringing in someone else, and there arent many of them out there worth taking that chance on IMO and the ones that are, are gonna sign enormous deals with other schools anyway.

Nobody knows what's going on, some say it's a given GMac will sit another year ....as far as snaps in game action that's on CJH. We played 3 cupcakes this past season and there's no reason Aguilar should've played 3 full quarters or more and then finish with Merk, whom most new wasn't sticking around after the season...

While I would like more of a dual threat too….

We can get Joey for around 2.5-3 and spend on defense.

We can win ten with Joey and let Faizon take over the next year.

I don’t think we need to spend 4-5 million on a QB right now.

Joey is 100% our best option

Knows the system & is already familiar with our WR's

Amen. The hype of Joey Aguilar is how he came to Tennessee due to the unprecedented NIL/Portal event with Nico in the spring.

But when it comes down to brass tax, he had a marginally better production year over Joe Milton's 2023 season where we also went 8-4. We won't miss him.
