I think he’s optimistic about GMac and willing to take a shot on Ty if it’s even real talk or Joey getting a waiver. If those two don’t happen he rolls with a lower level backup and lets GMac run with it.It’s hard for me to believe that Heupel is just sitting back, watching all these good QBs going elsewhere and him doing nothing. I am just not ready to accept that. So I have to hold onto this, Heupel has a plan and knows what he is doing.
Leavitt - TexTech, LSU, or KentuckyWho’s even left? Raiola?
The combination of the report earlier about Ty and not going after a single soul per all accounts or lack thereof an account of being in on a QB. Perhaps it's a mix of Joey getting another year and Ty but man that is going to leave us scrambling if neither work out which has a pretty good chance of happening. You may be right but I have seen nothing to suggest Heupel has banked on Simpson hitting the portal. Have you?
Yeah we don’t even have a single visit lined up for any QB something is up
not saying thats the best plan of attack, but it may be how it plays outi dont know if i am there yet, but i may be able to be talked into a scenerio where they know the defense will be a project this year and expectaions may be a little lower than in the past (yeah right) and the staff truly believes they hit on faizon brandon and they just throw him out there with an ok OL, decent RB, and some weapons on the outside and just let him learn. kinda like they had to do with ainge and schaeffer and hope for the best
I really want to believe that but we also convinced ourselves there was a grand plan to get Carnell Tate into the portal last year and that was why we didn’t pursue any other WRs.
Hope it’s a different result this time around, but not sure I have it in me to believe conspiracies about secret targets not in the portal who we’re waiting to hop in.
At least this one is beyond message board rumors and has a report behind it. But it's still dodgy.I really want to believe that but we also convinced ourselves there was a grand plan to get Carnell Tate into the portal last year and that was why we didn’t pursue any other WRs.

Kid has thrown 9 passes in college none against a P4 team....FB played his Sr. year 4 total games....neither is ready for SEC wars...I think he’s optimistic about GMac and willing to take a shot on Ty if it’s even real talk or Joey getting a waiver. At this point those are the only two realistic options I would consider a win over just staying with GMac.
Lot of trust in potentially running out a Freshmen in his most crucial season yet.
Why does it have to be either or? It's been explained IF we get a QB that Jh wants badly there will be "new funds" acquired for the QB....similar to how Barnes got the $$Bag for Ament! Will admit that I was a little reluctant to say it, but I feel the same way. As for freshman, Nico did it and I’ll bet Gmac runs this offense more effectively.
Second, I’d be very concerned if we blow a large percent our funds on a QB at the expense of defense personnel. Fixing this defense is mission critical.
