Too much ice

Mere presence in the United States without authorization (being undocumented) is a
civil violation, not a criminal offense. It is generally treated as a violation of immigration law that results in removal (deportation) through civil proceedings in immigration court, rather than imprisonment.

However, entering the country illegally or re-entering after being deported are criminal offenses.

That is correct as long as they entered legally. Which is the case for your guy and I know that’s where you’re generally speaking from.

If they entered illegally then it is a crime but I believe it’s a misdemeanor and scales up for more offenses.

For your guy here for 20 years, married to a US citizen, and paying his taxes it’s absolutely a civil matter.

That’s the main focus of their efforts. They are not going after the hardened criminals. They wait on the police to do that, so why do we need this new ice army?
A local roofer I know lost 3 key employees that all have documentation but ice took them anyway. They all had years left on their visas but now my group of contractors are going to have to spend money with lawyers to keep legal people in the country.

What da F*** are we doing?!?!

Oh I agree completely at this. I laugh out loud when I hear the DHS a$$holes gaslighting us all on how many hardened criminals they’ve removed when you look at all the people they are screwing with 😂

LMAO on the edit. Good ole lazy ass TDS play 🤡

I can tell you right now exactly where I’ll be in 28-29 right where I am now right of center and heavily leaning libertarian. You’re gonna have to wait and see whoever gets trotted out and adjust your beliefs accordingly

Saying a person has TDS is not lazy when you've basically turned into a heckler.

You are not applying any discernment to the type of arguments you're making now. When you argue against tariffs that is a policy difference. I get it.

When you are now claiming ICE murdered two people in Minnesota you turn yourself into a jester. You are making the argument democrats did when they said border patrol on horseback was whipping Haitians crossing the border illegally.

I'm not sure I want to vote in the next election. We will see.

Democrat party is an easy no for me. They are ruinous. However, they stick together when it matters for their overall objective. They thrive on dissent, splits and fractions in the republican party.

For the most part the republican party is a milquetoast contingent of voters. I see how they continue to lose with exceptions. A McCain and Romney types with no backbone are almost like democrats because they care about the social clubs.

Again……why are we spending/wasting taxpayers money to chase and deport people here legally that are stripped of their documentation without cause or notification.

Are we Nazis?
Because I’m an Athority on Nazi behavior and this is very Nazi.
I think they realized the majority of “illegals” are law abiding tax payers so when they weren’t able to do mass deportations like promised they expanded their targets to try and boost their deportation numbers. Now you’re seeing Trump reverse on it saying we gotta be nicer to the workers and only go after the criminals

It’s like the people that thought ice was gonna be deporting all the Somali’s in Minnesota when 95% are legal

I’m definitely left of you leg humpers that’s for sure. However I’m right where I’ve always been. Right of center. It’s called being consistent in your stances. Give it a try. Because if you keep slurping Trump you’re gonna wind up being a socialist.
Anti war was traditionally left but it's now become "leftist" to support an end to out of control spending, following the law, protecting children from monsters and reigning in corruption. If so then I'll wear it proudly

Oh bull ****. I say ICE murdered, or usually I say executed, because that’s what they did. And as much as this must hurt for you the local Democrats are 100% right in claiming ICE murdered (executed) those people. They’re still bat **** crazy but a broken clock is right twice a day.

I’ll never be a Democrat. Never have been. Right now it looks like I’ll never be a Republican again either. I’ll absolutely vote however if they trot out Vance I’ll likely be voting Libertarian. Again. Just like I have two out of the last three.

Oh and bad news for y’all. Trump isn’t really a Republican. He’s a rebranded Democrat and he’s got y’all lathered up over socialist fiscal policies and you’re all gobbling it up and parroting it out.

When you are now claiming ICE murdered two people in Minnesota
Except they did and that aren't the only ones. Trump has chosen this fight with a (now fired) incompetent leading the effort instead of taking care of the low hanging fruit which would be a huge win. He snatches defeat from the jaws of victory more than anyone I've seen.

We’ve been at war nearly my entire adult life. Enough. End it it’s a waste of flesh and treasure. I’m a solidly reformed neocon let’s knock off the imperialism for a decade or so.

I was called a Marxist for calling out trumps big spending and government interference in private companies 🤣

We have soldiers dying in wars that were started before their birth. 2001-03 was a strange time and most felt we needed to fight back. We were taken advantage of by our govt and their handlers. Increased access to info has definitely started to turn the tide. Young people don't want this any more

I couldn't agree more. I will add, if we must go to war then by all means do it aggressively, mercilessly, and brutally. If we don't have the stomach for that brand of warfare, then I don't think our reason for going to war is strong enough and we should sit it out.

Labeling someone with TDS is absolutely a lazy take. It's a political label made up by Trump loyalists as some sort of schoolyard insult. Trump brought the constant criticism upon himself.

Just say no to any more nation building. Our military is the best in the world at what they do. Breaking things in violent and rapid fashion. Let them focus on that and when the things they need to break are broken immediately bring them home. We owe them that much for their willingness to serve. We don’t need to squander their lives on unless endeavors just like we are doing now in Iran.

I don't mind troops staying behind and helping the defeated country rebuild in a better way. But there needs to be a limit to the effort. "Nation building" is one of those political hot potato terms that means different things to different people. Turning the Axis into Allies is the model we should follow when possible.

I absolutely despise using combat troops as police force. That isn’t what they are trained to do. There are a few MOS’s/ratings that make sense to use. Keep it to those trained somewhat for the role if we must have people on the ground.
