Too much ice

Complicit, not culpable...you are a part of it, like it or not....it's representative government, like it or not. You paid for it, like it or not

The part that is personally problematic with regards to you was your response when you found out they murdered that guy on your behalf.
Nonsense take.

1. Your argument would make slaves working the fields in the 1850's "complicit" in their involuntary servitude.

2. Can you not even wait to find out how the man died, or what he did from the moment he was released until he died before calling people "murderers." You. Don't. Know. The. Facts. Yet.

All of this is to say, I am fine waiting until more facts come out before I make any conclusions as to where I stand. I am also of the firm belief that 99% of the people who have made up their minds already will not change it, even in the face of facts contrary to their already formed opinions. Confirmation bias, BEGIN!
This is pretty much where I'm at unfortunately. This all began a good while ago when people, with no dearth of justification mind you, began to question veracity of information they received. That has now reached the point where there is so little trust by so many for what the "truth" is about damn near anything and a deluge of information from all manner of sources that are partially if not wholly contradictory that great swaths of the country have just broken down mentally to the point of "I'll just believe what I want to believe and reject the rest.".

Those paying attention will note there's not a word about any "side" being referenced.

Yes, of course, wtf. They are making us all complicit. Some of you are good with it. Some of us resist.
And just how do you resist? By posting on a message board? How's that working out for you?

What is it you want people to do? Vote Democrat? That doesn't make things better. That's just giving power to the other side to screw us as well. Right/left, Republican/Democrat, we the citizens have very little voice as the power rests in the two political parties to control our country. Constitutionally, despite all the fret, Trump can't run again, so what can we expect next election? Two more bad candidates proffered up by either side. And some on here will defend one side while others defend the other side because they gleefully bow to parties that do not give a damn about the American people. All it is is back and forth that changes jack squat. I respect that you have an opinion, but short of revolution, resistance doesn't mean very much. As long as we remain a country controlled by two political parties, not much is going to change.

They moved him further away from his family to a place 5 miles away from his house that was closed, and didn't tell anyone he was there. If it was a "courtesy" then they are unbelievably incompetent, but the idea that he asked for it seems like complete BS anyway
I take it that you have had very little interaction with public employees. Competent and accountable are not in the handbook.

Why didn't he call his family?

I didnt tell anyone to release this guy into the cold, so no it wasn't done on "my behalf."

Again, I am not complicit and to claim as much requires a lot of logical gymastics.

I’m not on the fence at all.
If they are at the known address they can walk in. They don’t have probable cause to just walk in my house because someone said someone might be there.
If they think their perp is at my house then they can stake it out sit and wait.

No I don’t give a **** about their waste of resources

I thought they got this girl at her apartment? I 100% agree that they can't waltz into a house the person they're looking for is simply visiting.

good to know that all you that support the massive waves of illegals are culpable in the deaths of countless US citizens and unimagineable crimes.
Us resistors have a clean conscience.

Homeland Security posted this an hour ago.

This individual was arrested by local police.

This individual accepted a courtesy ride from Border Patrol to this location, a ride that did not have to be provided.

Would the Washington Post have rather us force him to find transportation from the station after his arrest by local police?

This individual tragically died almost a week after this courtesy ride. It is ridiculous to blame Border Patrol for an individual’s death a week after their last interaction with them.

Same account that said Alex Pretti was a domestic terrorist and a parking lot at night in Buffalo winter was a "warm, safe location."

In fact, reading their statement again, it also reads like they chose the coffee shop and not him. Why would they need to "determine" anything if he requested it?

Border Patrol agents offered him a courtesy ride, which he chose to accept to a coffee shop, determined to be a warm, safe location near his last known address, rather than be released directly from the Border Patrol station.

He knows this (or should) he just wants to argue something that isn't even a real thing.

ICE had nothing to do with this guy's death, and he would've been walking from the jail even if he didn't have a retainer

It’s in dispute. They say a roommate let them in. She says she didn’t.
I’m still in the “if true “ wait and see mode

If the illegal was living in that apartment and ICE had a deportation order then I can see how they wouldn't need a warrant to enter. That's falls in with my comparison to parole/probation.

Wait...... virtue posting doesn't work?

It's not virtue posting, it's shaming.

My goal is to make people who can be shamed to feel ashamed for running defense for the people that trample the constitution and do horrible things in the process. Too many of you live in a bubble and haven't looked at this from every angle and are way too ******* comfortable with it.

I don't think not being a POS is some great virtue. A guy died here. I'm not donating to his family. I'm not saving anybody. I'm not writing my congressman. But I'm not gonna be a POS about it. And I am gonna shame anybody who acts like this is some kind of joke or defensible.

Proper shaming can change the culture for the better. That's how we got people to STFU about gay marriage. It works. MAGA's most dangerous quality is that they are largely shameless.

I don’t know that bullying people is quite as effective as reasoning with them, but okay.👍
