Nope. Said he should have been arrested at the first incident. He had obviously been protesting regularly. But he can still be a good man who happened to lose his cool that day. Maybe he’s got a temper, maybe that’s the only time. (Personally I’d like to know why he wasn’t arrested. That was much more egregious than his actions when he got executed.)
Still has no bearing on ultimately what occurred this past weekend. (And neither does the silly speculation that he was shot by his own gun by a misfire.) I’m just waiting for the grand jury. Not going to be distracted by ancillary junk.
I didn't say he wasn't a good man. I've previously stated on the day this occurred how I read he did a lot with the VA and within his community.
I wasn't stating he was shot with his own weapon. Not at all, as the officer who had possession of it was clearing the pile. My question was did it discharge accidentally. Officers heard the shot and responded by shooting Pretti unnecessarily. The one officer with his weapon out was beyond being excessive at that point, but that's JMO.
As for being distracted, pointing out additional behavior characteristics is debatable and should be discussed in this forum.
