Too much ice

I'm still waiting for about answer, or does murder of women in Knoxville by American citizens nor matter to you? Trumplican HYPOCRISY.
You’re all over the place like a dog with zoomies. Which Knoxville murder that you listed was by an illegal? But good to see you’re pro life, as if I recall those deaths over the last few years were pregnant at the time of death. Could be wrong on 1. Pretty sure all went to trial and are behind bars. What’s your question?

You’ll have to come up with a better stance besides saying “what about fraud in Texas”, chirp “Greg Abbott” and show nothing. It sounds like you don’t have a good start/understanding of your own question. Kids call this whataboutism.

The whole he is not allowed to carry a firearm to a protest, that has been the rights justification for Petties murder.

Seems these same posters was supporting Kyle Rittenhouse who not only brought a firearm but used it.
You can do lots of things but doesn't mean you should. If I'm going to insert myself into a confrontation with law enforcement and I'm carrying a weapon that is asking for trouble. Same goes for Rittenhouse. He should've just stayed home. And I'm not saying he deserved to be shot.

Stages of a color revolution:

  • Portray the target government as illegitimate, authoritarian, corrupt, or “fascist.”
  • Front-load allegations: accuse incumbent of planning the crimes the opposition intends to commit (rigging, regression, dictatorship).
  • Fund and train NGOs, student groups, and opposition politicians to repeat a unified message.
  • Create/amplify a unifying symbol or theme (e.g., Orange Man Bad).
  • Manufacture an electoral crisis.
  • Street mobilization.
  • Public appeals to and moral blackmail of the military and police: “You’re with the people, not the regime.”
  • Promises of immunity, future positions for defectors.
  • Threats to those who support target government.
  • Provoke a response, flood media with images of “peaceful protesters” being attacked. <-------------------- You are Here ---------------------->
  • International legitimation as foreign governments and media recognizes opposition leaders as “legitimate” authority.
  • Sanctions, frozen assets, diplomatic isolation applied to sitting government.
  • New elections scheduled under international supervision.

But no comments about unlawfully using pepper spray on him? The courts have ruled multiple times against excessive force

I'm not exactly sure if it would be considered excessive, so no. I have no comment.

I had something bring me back to this page this morning. I'd just like to point out that this was the interaction that started the stupid, endless AI sparring match yesterday that wasted everyone's time and forum space.

After all of that and a ****-load of scope-creep just to end up where we began. Neither of us knew nearly enough to comment on it. <shrug--The Political Forum in all of its glory>

There's a lot of ham-handed use of vocabulary. I'm not sure if it's purposeful, or just dimly lit thinking.

One can say that someone did not deserve to die while also admitting that they had a lot of culpability in their death.

If you take a tiger on as a pet and it mauls you to death, did you "deserve" to die? Eh. That's a bit of an abuse of the concept in my mind. I'm not sure there's any authority overlooking the situation and deeming you worthy of death, thus they rightly told the tiger to maul you to death. But did your stupid and irresponsible decisions bring it into your life? Would you have been mauled to death by the tiger, had you not taken it on as a pet? No? OK. Then you have culpability in it.

Kyle used it on a protester who was using a skateboard to to assault him. Another one (Grosskreutz) who was also armed.

Grosskreutz, a paramedic who was there to provide medical aid, admitted under cross-examination that his gun was pointed at Rittenhouse before he fired.- CNN

You need to stop with watching the MSNBC, it’s breaking you mentally daily.

The idea that ICE can do whatever it wants and kill whoever it wants because x citizen was killed by illegals 5 years ago is so deeply stupid
No sympathy for the previous victims that led to this. Instead you call it stupid. Maybe the same energy on protestors believing they can do whatever they want with no consequences.

I don't blame them, the post-murder character assassination routine is both very tired and very irritating
Serious question: Is that what it is, or is it a response to the post-mortem deification narrative? It rings kind of hollow to enter something into evidence and then cry when it's discussed by the opposing counsel.

Bearded Disclaimer: ****The above in no way insinuates that any of his actions a week before the shooting means that he deserved to die, or that the shooting was a good one.****

You do realize that someone pointing out that the guy was an angry political cultist who was extremely violent and had threatened and assaulted LEOs on other occasions ISN'T excusing the shooting, it's stating facts?

This goes for almost anyone, but in households where the father is present one of the things you teach a teenage son is not to be aggressive toward law enforcement. There will be another time to make your case. This was advice for something as simple as traffic stops. Now imagine actually seeking out trouble with law enforcement with a loaded weapon. Any grown man who tells you that is smart or condones it is an idiot.
Now the issue is fatherless households 😭 never change

You guys are fighting over nothing, although there was a significant initial jump in deportations -- its basically where it is. If the administration was actually wanting to get rid of the illegals you should be increasing at a rapid rate.

Looks like more controlled opposition to me using a big show.

This may be nitpicking and I understand your overall point, but using but-for cause to establish culpability gets dicey IMO. Like, Pretti wouldn't have been killed if not for the woman he tried to help, so is she culpable? Would people have fallen in different ways if they were wearing different boots and clothes? To me, there's always a LONG list of "this wouldn't have happened if not for _______" and people often ignore 95% of them and choose one.

That's why the law generally prefers proximate cause. Again, not saying it changes anything about the example you gave, but people using the specific "wouldn't have happened but for _____" argument is a pet peeve of mine

Its all a big show. The illusion that something has changed.
