Too much ice

Ya you are.
Keep the faith.
I’m sure the last 40 years are not indicative of how things will continue to go.

Let’s try again in 10 years

Oh no, I agree there, my take is the U.S. collapses. I hold a little hope (although that is rose tinted glasses) that things can be held together.

As far as what is going on, nobody needs those people.... its the same lie and a different decade.

Personally, I’m in support of secured borders and structured immigration policies. But, this level of ICE funding appears to be overkill and wasteful to me. Maybe im missing something?
or maybe your being mislead by a corrupt media. Ice is cleaning up a mess caused by the democrat party letting millions of illegals enter our country unvetted. We are now seeing the results, illegals driving big rigs and killing people, murders on trains, subways, the streets. Paid protest. on and on. Always research on your own. The media is spreading false narratives ( for years now). Ice is not arresting and deporting american citizens or kids working in a restaurant.

It’s absolutely broken.
And you moronic to argue that we don’t need a workforce.
Legal immigration for quality workers should not be hard.
This is very much like Trumps first term when he cut out a crap ton of regulations for the permitting process…..so we can actually build infrastructure. The same sweeping regulation cuts need to happen at the immigration department

A visual representation of arguing with people who think our current immigration system is fine. 👆

Says an overweight boomer that won't leave his desk to make a difference. Where you at John Oliver?
Look at that, he's actually a legal US Citizen as well.... Maybe he needs to be looked into for he allegiances.

He’s not a boomer. Born in 77 is solidly Gen X. He’s still an idiot.

citizens shouldn't have to be allegianiant to the government to maintain citizen status. that is a slippery slope that doesn't not end well for anyone.

I don’t believe dual citizenship should be a thing. I don’t think we should put up with anyone that has dual citizenship causing disruptions for our government.

Side note- I certainly do not think anyone in our government should have dual citizenship. If you aren’t American First, I don’t think you should represent us at all.

disruptions as in has a low viewership TV show that doesn't slurp Trump?

are things really going so well for Trump that he has the bandwidth to focus on John Oliver?

You’ll have to explain that one to me in more detail.
I wasn't calling you an overweight boomer if that's what you're asking haha
I was saying that he is calling for obstruction of justice and this is coming from someone with Dual Citizenship.
We should dig into where he is truly loyal to. He's calling for illegal activity.

How would you “dig into” his loyalty, and what makes you think anyone has a right to do that, or that it has any relevance?

I don't think anyone with dual citizenship has the right to be in our country calling for Obstruction of Justice.
If you want to promote illegal activity, you are a menace to society. Let him ruin the UK...
I'd think he's here for better opportunities, better living, and a better overall life.
Don't enjoy our fruit and poison our trees...

I assume you’re talking about a different country, not the US where freedom of speech as well as the press are pillars of the society that the founders built upon.

I assume you’re talking about a different country, not the US where freedom of speech as well as the press are pillars of the society that the founders built upon.

Political speech is very broadly protected under the First Amendment, even when it is harsh, inflammatory, or accusatory. For speech to cross into illegal territory like “soliciting obstruction of justice,” it generally must:
• Directly encourage a specific unlawful act,
• Be intended to cause that unlawful act, and
• Be likely to cause it.
Physically getting in the way of an officer who is actively performing their duties can be considered obstruction of justice in most jurisdictions.
Here is the simple breakdown.
When it can be obstruction:
• Physically blocking an officer
• Interfering with an arrest
• Preventing officers from reaching a location
• Distracting an officer so they cannot safely do their job
• Refusing lawful commands that are meant to let the officer perform their duty

So, in the US where freedom of speech as well as the press are pillars of the society that founders built upon.. This baffoon is promoting illegal activities.

Ok, so now answer my previous questions ^^^

Confirmation of the Deal

Yes, this is accurate based on reports from today (December 10, 2025). The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has indeed signed a contract valued at nearly $140 million to acquire six Boeing 737 aircraft, which will form a dedicated fleet for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) deportation operations. This marks a shift from ICE's historical reliance on chartered flights, enabling more direct control over logistics to accelerate removals.

Key Details
  • Contract Partner: The deal is with Daedalus Aviation, a Virginia-based firm specializing in commercial and charter services. The aircraft are likely used Boeing 737-700 or 737-800 models (not new builds), sourced at about $23.3 million per plane—well below the $100 million+ list price for new 737 MAX variants.
  • Funding Source: Supported by a $170 billion congressional boost for immigration enforcement, included in the "One Big Beautiful Bill Act" (a GOP-led tax and spending package).
  • Timeline: The planes are expected to be delivered and operational within 1–3 months after inspections, FAA re-certification, and modifications (e.g., secure restraint systems). Initial arrivals could begin as early as March 2026.
  • Basing and Operations: Locations are undisclosed but may include hubs like Dallas, Houston, or Miami. The fleet will support flights to 77 countries, handling both routine and high-risk deportations. ICE has already conducted 1,701 deportation flights since January 20, 2025 (Trump's inauguration), deporting over 579,000 people so far this year.
Broader Context and Rationale

This purchase aligns with the Trump administration's pledge for the "largest deportation operation in American history," targeting 1 million removals in the president's first year. DHS Secretary Kristi Noem and senior adviser Corey Lewandowski have pushed for an in-house fleet to reduce bottlenecks and costs from charters, which have become pricier amid rising demand.

DHS spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin emphasized efficiency gains, stating the fleet will save taxpayers $279 million through "more efficient flight patterns" and better alignment of aircraft availability with deportation needs. A prior attempt in November 2025 to buy 10 Boeing 737s from Spirit Airlines fell through due to maintenance issues (e.g., missing engines), prompting this quicker acquisition of used planes.
