Too much ice

You’re asking if they should be deported for doing…..whatever
If they’re here illegally they should be deported.
Nothing else matters
I'm not asking anything.
You've posted several times that law abiding, employed illegals should be let be. Now you say all illegals should be deported. What changed what passes for your mind?

Honest question, who are you going to blame if Trump deports all the undocumented, and you don't see an increase in your quality of life?
You

What a stupid question.
All of this is distraction from the actual problem. The actual problem is the legal immigration system is broken. It’s nearly impossible for the workers we need to immigrate here legally. Opening the borders and letting all the filth of the world come pouring in isn’t the answer. It’s not lost on me that neither team wants to actually solve this problem. It’s too good a campaign issue to give up.
So back to the point…..if you’re here illegally and you draw attention to yourself…..commit crimes, protest by waving flags, whatever, then you should expect to be deported.

Now if I were in charge of this, ice would not be hanging out at Home Depot. Illegals working should be a very low priority. Criminals and agitators are the priority.

If the "actual problem" is a broken immigration system then why are we spending billions on deportations, rather than spending billions on fixing the broken system?

Did you read the post.
Nobody is trying to fix anything.
Not the shitbag republicans putting on a show with deportations.
Not the shitbag democrats putting on a show of fighting ice and preventing criminals from being deported.

This is way too valuable a campaign issue to fix.

There isn't and wasn't anything to fix, only enforcement was needed of existing law that has been on the books. The legislation is just words written down on a piece of paper.

The immigration system seems to work just fine. What is being "fixed" is really just fixing the glitch i.e. enforcement - a President that is willing to do the job.

Much like anything else with the government, how can you fix the broken system, when one side fights tooth and nail to avoid any illegal deportations, voter IDs, fraud investigations, or to eliminate waste and illegal taxpayer $ going to illegals

The sky screamers went from its not possible, crying because he would never do it, to screaming at clouds because he did it. Some additional funds would probably be good but other than something on the edge no new legislation is needed.

Bullllll shittttt!!!
I helped 2 people from Mexico become United States citizens in the 90s. It’s nearly impossible to accomplish that today. Just getting a work visa is near impossible. Major overhaul is needed

Just because you don't get who you want in doesn't mean its broken. I'm for almost zero (or very close to it) immigration to the U.S. Its broken only in the sense that illegal immigration is easier than legal immigration but that isn't broken, that is a lack of enforcement. No system exists that will work if people don't do their jobs.

Illegal immigration should be just about impossible at scale, and legal immigration should be very rare and not at scale.

Don't we want to avoid illegal deportations? That's the whole idea isn't it, to follow the law? Or do you mean deportation of illegals?
Each party has its sacred cows so that knife cuts both ways. When did the GOP even try to audit the Pentagon?
The Republicans could get legislation going to address immigration reform but after all these years they've done next to nothing. It looks like they'd rather whine and pout than actually help solve the problem. The same goes for the Democrats.

Generally speaking new legislation isn't needed, only enforcement -> obviously at this point. Actually, it looks like they stopped complaining about it and hired the Orange democrat to do the job.

They fixed the glitch i.e. lack of enforcement.

remember when we needed a $1.5T bill to enforce it? now we got lib whiners complaining about the cost to deport. cant make it up.

It’s absolutely broken.
And you moronic to argue that we don’t need a workforce.
Legal immigration for quality workers should not be hard.
This is very much like Trumps first term when he cut out a crap ton of regulations for the permitting process…..so we can actually build infrastructure. The same sweeping regulation cuts need to happen at the immigration department

So, this your desperation into thinking I need your illegal **** hole workers. I don't.

Its not broken at all, the glitch is being fixed is all i.e. enforcement.

These are two separate discussions, but regardless I don't need your **** hole stupid worker. If they are trying to come here to save me, tell them to stay in their **** hole.

Both sides put forth legislation that deals with symptoms and spend a great deal of time arguing about it but there’s very little proposed that looks anything like a long term solution.

Lots of bandages for parts of problems though
