Maybe not but you sound paranoid and mentally irregular

Simply because I do not believe people should be killed or brutalized or have their lives ruined for victimless crimes?

I question authority in all forms. Law enforcement is simply the pointy end of politics.

I don't hate cops, I hate the profession. Or, I should say, the entire institution of violence that it entails. I.E. Government.

I don't hate cops in the UK or Germany.

I don't even hate all cops in the US. I just realize that the legal system, the training and the ethos of cops in the US leads to a quick ramp up to aggression as there is no system in place to encourage (or force) cops from finding peaceful ends to a situation.

The rhetoric that protects cops is vibrant in here. "She shouldn't have asked what she did in a way that angered the cop... she deserved her beating." or "He shouldn't have run away from a cop... he deserved to be shot 3 times from behind. He shouldn't have threatened the cop by showing his back".

Cops are treated like easily frightened dogs by some of you guys and as unrestrained rabid dogs by others. That's a sad commentary on the outlook of police that everyone has.

It's pretty simple really, the politicians make the rules, and the cops are charged with enforcing them. It does not matter how meaningless these laws seem, cops pledge to enforce them, all of them. Even if these laws conflict with their own conscience. Therefore. There are no "good cops" only state enforcers.

Once an arrest is made, the cop, the judge, and the prosecutor form a triad against the accused, with all the rules in the favor of the state. (Or, they'll just make them up as they go) This whole thing called the "justice" system can be summed up as one big conflict of interest.

You want accountability under the existing system? Eliminate police unions, have an independent review board take a look at every time police kill or use force.
Actually hold the police personally accountable to the people paying their salary.

Also, make them personally responsible for any wrong doing on their part. It makes no sense for the taxpayer to keep funding these cops who are found to be guilty of abuse. Let them pay the restitution to the victim.

How many experiences have you had with UK, German, and U.S. Cops?

Like CP said, it's a law. Like it or not. With that being said.... Did it really warrant an arrest being made? Didn't see any other reason why he was being arrested. Give the man a ticket and a summons to court, make him poor out the beer and move on.

Bc like usual these websites only state things that stress their point of view....I had to look through a few articles until I found the rest of the story....Apparently, officers approached and told him he was not allowed to be drinking in public. Instead of pouring out his drink or going inside....he chose to become verbally abusive and physically aggressive towards the officers which led to them arresting him.

I picture you as an eccentric overly paranoid conspiracy theorist type. .... Probably have a camera surveillance system at your house to go along with your armory and food rations.

I guess ..... I don't exactly love the cops... Who does?.... But damn.... Many on here give the impression they'd like to see them disappear as if everything would just be gum drops and candy if they did.
I'm no angel and I've raised my share of hell, but I've never had any kind of serious issues with the cops. When I encountered them I simply answered their questions and everything was cool.
I've also been out on the streets when **** went down and saw what the cops experience on a regular basis..... And I can tell you it's not dealing with the likes of VN posters.... At least in the metro areas.... It's not a freaking game or mister Rogers neighborhood

So you view me as a doomsday prepper?

Carl, I believe in freedom. It's really as simple as that. As far as government is concerned, you cannot start with immoral means and achieve a moral result. It just doesn't work that way.

Then he deserves everything he had coming to him.

Everyone has said I always defend the cops because I've consistantly said its always the actions of an idiot that puts the anti-police propaganda videos in motion.

Flipping off cops, running from a traffic stop, throwing rocks, becoming verbally abusive, continuing to repeat ignorant ass statements about their rights and etc......it's pretty simple..... Don't be a fool and you probably won't ever have an issue with the cops.
