To Protect and to Serve II

The forehead game in those pics are both epic and tragic at the same time.
I'd describe them individually, but it would get me in trouble.

Police unions keep bad officers on the force. there is no need for the police union.
Why do you suppose the police unions are consistently opposed to outside oversight for officers?
I understand they do keep bad officers in place but the reason they oppose community oversight is perfectly illustrated by the cities where police are currently being hamstrung. Politicizing police oversight is a bad idea and those community oversight boards are nothing but political and are easily weaponized. There are more effective ways of reaching the desired result.

Why do 90% percent of these fools look like they were hit in the face with a bag of WTF?
Okay let's start with top left

Elect an oversight commissioner. They handle all complaints. Present their findings to a โ€œgrand juryโ€ type panel of citizens to determine if any further action is needed

Maybe police should leave cities like those. Let them fall apart. Keeping the criminal cops from losing their jobs is criminal. The bad police have to be kept from ever being re-hired in law enforcement. Once that starts happening, I think youโ€™d see way more support from civilians.

I'd like to think that would be true but from what I've seen recently we're beyond that event horizon.

Possibly. It is hard to believe that our country recovers from what itโ€™s currently going through. We are just too divided on too many fronts that I just donโ€™t see any peaceful resolution.

Fox in the chicken coop. Pretty brazen. This one could easily go in the WTF thread.
Just for our resident lawyers to enjoy.

Tennessee lawyer accused of rape kills self as police find him in Alabama: authorities

"During the course of [TBI's] investigation, agents developed information indicating that David Whelan forced or coerced female clients into sex as a way to re-pay their attorney fees," TBI said in a June release, according to the Daily News Journal in Murfreesboro.

Youโ€™re old enough to remember the late 60s early 70s. This too will pass.
I'm not sure about that, there was still some civility from the vast majority. And while not everyone is on the fringes the fringes are vastly more pronounced now as opposed to then with few voices with any semblance of power speaking out for calm and reconciliation.
