Typically when an officer makes contact with someone particularly when they receive call for the public for service they ask for the name for two reasons. If there's a report needed they have the names of those involved and to make sure the person isn't wanted or have outstanding warrants.

Did you really need to ask, I mean that's common sense isn't it?

I’m not a cop or a detective but I’m going to give you some facts from my investigation.

You allege that the victim reached for an officers gun. While watching the video numerous times I can prove without a doubt he did not.

Both officers are right handed and carry their guns on their right side. The officers were walking beside the victim while he was handcuffed. The victim turned to his left with his hands handcuffed behind his back. The officers on the victims right side had his gun holstered on his right hip.

How could the victim reach for the officers gun with his hands cuffed behind his back on the officers left hip? The gun was on the opposite side. There’s no possible way the victim could have reached his gun.

They had no probable cause to stop the victim so they used a frivolous walking violation to stop and ID him.

The only reason these frivolous laws exist is so law enforcement can stop and harass citizens and violate their constitutional rights.

Yeah, that's pretty bad and sad. Maybe she had a really long bad day, and got emotional.........too weird and unstable, maybe something else in here life like her man or family or friend problems....

But, too nervous to take a meal from McD's.....then why are you going there.....seriously why then...? You are crying because you don't like the feeling you can't trust you'll get your food ..?safely? And yet, here you are ordering....odd.

The police can ask you to identify yourself if they are investigating a crime or suspect a crime may have been committed in order to investigate. That part isn't illegal at all. What frivolous laws are you referring to in particular?

It is my understanding this guy was detained for failure to identify. Is that not correct?
