To Protect and to Serve II

If we go down that slope why make vehicles that can go faster than 70mph? Who needs to go that fast? Can we regulate buffets and pizza joints as well as noone needs to eat that much.

Is that the best you have? I used to drive fast when I was young and didn't kill anyone. Firing a gun in a crowded place of business with a gun that has a 100 round magazine might actually kill a bunch of people.

Simply owning a certain gun or magazine or attachment does not mean the owner will use it to harm anybody.

You driving fast was a much more substantial threat to innocent bystanders than any of my guns have ever been.

Food restrictions would save millions of lives.

Let's say I wanted to kill a bunch of random people, how would I do it, with a shotgun or a high powered rifle with a large capacity magazine? One hold 6 or 7 max one holds 100 which would you choose?

I would just use a car and plow through a crowded area.

My choice would be a bomb.

My choice would be a bomb.

Good choice.

A bomb can be detonated remotely, so you don't even have to be on location and there's a chance you could get away with it. Plus all the materials needed to make a bomb can be easily acquired without going through any kind of background check. And a bomb is far more effective than any gun.

Large capacity drums have been around for quite a while yet they have been used very rarely in shootings. They are expensive and can be unreliable.

Car deaths outnumber gun deaths about 3 to 1.

Hog you are on fire today brother. Fist bump. I honestly dont think anyone needs a 100rd double drum...though I have owned an AK (sks) with a 50rd drum and it wasnt excessive. You can spend 50rds in a hurry. The problem is if the 2A folks give even an inch and allow our rights to be slowly packed away 1 at a time....we are screwed and will have nothing but maybe pistols in no time. We know this well...that's why we dont negotiate. Disarming the people is the FIRST and MOST IMPORTANT step of establishing a dictatorship. Communist or otherwise. It is the EXACT reason that Venezuela still has Maduro. An armed populace would have deposed him LONG before they had to eat the animals in the zoo and their next door neighbors cats(or their own dog).

We cannot and will not be slowly disarmed. Thankfully many many members of the armed forces and Leo's are staunch supporters of the 2A.... for every wacko bent on shooting up a walmart there are 10million or more law abiding good guys ready to protect themselves and others. We will not be punished by the actions of loons and criminals...who ignore all the laws anyway.

"Hey these crazies keep breaking the law!!"

Libs.." let's make MORE LAWS!!!that will stop them!!!"

Smdh.

I own...6 guns. Two AR's, three .45's, and a .38 for the long-haired mess cook. I have two more that my Sheriff issued me. I am armed 24/7. I have carried a gun either on me or as part of my duties for going on 40 years now. Four decades.

For my personal guns, both AR's and .45's, I have enough ammo to last me likely far past my life expectancy. I'm not a survivalist, or a prepper, but I do have a lot of ammo on hand. I also have 30 days worth of Wise food, water, a generator, and 10 days worth of fuel for it. Being prepared should never be a bad thing. I'm prepared.

My guns have never harmed an innocent. Nor will they, ever. My guns do not control me, I control them. Thus, I do not need more gun control. I already have enough. And for almost 40 years now, it has worked just fine.

There's a song by Charlie Daniels..."Simple Man". That's me. I remember a time when that was a good thing.

Maybe some day, it will be again.

I gotta shotgun a rifle and a 4 wheel drive......and a country boy can survive.

Buy it cheap and stack it deep folks. I am squirreling away cash for more guns now. Stock up while I can...ammo too. There arent enough LEOs or soldiers dumb enough or traitor to the constitution enough to go door to door trying to confiscate weapons. They are guys just like you and I...my whole family is military. They swear an oath to protect us from ALL enemies foreign and DOMESTIC. None of them would point a weapon at a US citizen abiding in peace on their own property. Will not happen. That said...as these incidents with mass casualties keep happening, it will get harder and harder to get more guns and ammo...I believe that firmly. Stock up folks
Your concern should be with these devil's here in America rather than some Iranians or Syrians or Russians or Chinese a thousand miles away.

Let me interject. Driving fast or owning a hundred round drum is ok in my book. But when someone gets injured or killed, that's when it becomes a "crime".

I agree but, does anyone need a 100 round magazine or a bump stock or one of a hundred other attachments to guns that allow them to kill dozens of people or animals for that matter?

The only difference between a 100 round magazine and five 20 round or ten 10 round magazines is practice and a scant few seconds of time.

When was the last time that LE was given the okay to piss on people’s rights and their oath stopped them from doing it? I’ve seen nothing in my life time that leads me to believe that if they’re told to violate rights, the majority won’t happily do it.

Now I’m sure there’ll be a handful of rogue officers/departments that’ll do the right thing (and maybe that’ll include the LEOs that posts in here... idk) but the overwhelming majority (like 90%+) will follow orders.

Well duh, the guy shouldn’t have had a gun.

My mom had a very similar thing happen to her, woke up in the middle of the night to someone banging on the front door. Then she hears someone trying the door knob on the side door. And she can see flashlights in the backyard. She has a .38 in the night stand and was ready to use it. Someone had called the police from our old land line number that was disconnceted years ago, but for whatever reason it was still assigned to our address. My mom called 911 and they eventually figured it out, but again a case of the police not announcing themselves, just playing Miami Vice sneaking up on the bad guy. Could have ended horribly for many people.
