To Protect and to Serve II

It would suck but it would rightly not be a felony.
It’s a good way to be shot by anyone.
If some random person starts to spray you with something and you don’t know what it is, then it’s reasonable to assume the attack is with potential lethal intent. At that point it’s reasonable to defend yourself.
Here’s an idea......don’t be a douche with a super soaker and your less likely to have bad **** happen to you.

Do you think the system needs change? Or are you okay with the status quo?

It's far from perfect.

Very sorry.

I guess that was the only thing you were able to pull out of that quote. I'm sure holding LEO accountable for their own public perception and taking matters in their own hands was probably like reading Greek.

Oh Ras....we've had this conversation so many times. I'm just no longer interested in having it with you anymore. I just like poking at you from time to time.

Relax man.

I'm slowly coming around to @GreyWolf1129's opinion that I'd like to sit and have a beer with you DTH, and discuss this like civilized UT fans. Almost. 😘

We're only at the beginning of the lid being pried off the red flag Pandora's box.
And the Republicans won’t do much to stop it. The government is going to disarm us a little bit here and there. They will find a way.

I stay amazed at a population that just doesn't seem to get it.
2A is the line in the sand that protects all the other Amendments.
2A exists to allow the citizens of this country to rise up against a tyrannical government. It doesn't matter if you are for or against gun ownership. What matters is that any further erosion or the eradication of 2A makes it open season on all the rest, it'll only be a matter of time. Are you that willing to give up everything just because you don't like 2A?

Buy it cheap and stack it deep folks. I am squirreling away cash for more guns now. Stock up while I can...ammo too. There arent enough LEOs or soldiers dumb enough or traitor to the constitution enough to go door to door trying to confiscate weapons. They are guys just like you and I...my whole family is military. They swear an oath to protect us from ALL enemies foreign and DOMESTIC. None of them would point a weapon at a US citizen abiding in peace on their own property. Will not happen. That said...as these incidents with mass casualties keep happening, it will get harder and harder to get more guns and ammo...I believe that firmly. Stock up folks

I agree but, does anyone need a 100 round magazine or a bump stock or one of a hundred other attachments to guns that allow them to kill dozens of people or animals for that matter?

Okay, so why can't you buy a fully automatic machine gun at your local sporting goods store then?

The short real-time answer is addressed in the Heller decision.

We also recognize another important limitation on the right to keep and carry arms. Miller said, as we have explained, that the sorts of weapons protected were those “in common use at the time.” 307 U. S., at 179. We think that limitation is fairly supported by the historical tradition of prohibiting the carrying of “dangerous and unusual weapons.”

The broader question is open for much debate but for some time now (1934) the definition of "dangerous and unusual" includes fully automatic weapons. The distinction should be made that even still such weapons are not "illegal" to own by civilians but there are much more stringent vetting/licensing procedures.

You can. Look it up.
Walk into your local Walmart and say "I'd like to buy a machine gun" You can't get one there or most places. Yes I know you can own one but few nut jobs are going to be able to afford one.
Some of you guys think that every Tom, Dick and Harry should be able to own any gun made and any form of accessory/magazine and I disagree.

Yes. Anyone should be able to own whatever they can afford. It’s called freedom.
