To Protect and to Serve II

I wonder why folks aren't asking why the other cops on scene didn't stop the offending officer?

Oh, i know why, just following orders.

Want to know why we have so many bad cops?
Because most of your so called "good cops" do absolutely nothing about the bad. A lot of times the good cop who will report a crooked officer will be harassed by other officers until they resign or are fired. The system is broken.

Kind of funny to me some that are outraged at this behavior. What happened to "Just do what you're told by a cop and you'll be fine". NOW we're getting mad about police acting like gestapo a##holes? How come nobody is looking up this nurse to see if she got a parking ticket in the past, or maybe she jaywalked.

White chick.

2nd Utah police officer put on administrative duty over nurse arrest

Payne wrote in a police report that he grabbed Wubbels and took her outside to avoid causing a "scene" in the emergency room. He said his boss told him to arrest Wubbels if she kept interfering.

The detective left Wubbels in a hot police car for 20 minutes before realizing that blood had already been drawn as part of treatment, her lawyer, Karra Porter, said. Wubbels was released without being arrested.

From a few months ago... what is it in Utah that they feel the need to violate the 4th Amendment rights of accident victims? Seems like this is a state wide issue. This woman, the victim of a crash was searched and the Utah nurse incident involved a crash victim.

For the sake of everyone involved, wouldn't it have been better to instead wait for a warrant to search a citizen on the roadside (assuming the cop had probable cause to search) instead of a female officer? I think we gloss over the fact that many of these road side stops and searches are 4th Amendment violations. Or am I asking for too much?

Again... Utah has a problem with the 4th Amendment.

No smoking in NYC... whether it be cigarettes or BBQ ribs.

Community policing, in its most basic form, argues that there is a right way to interact with community members, and there is a wrong way. And when it comes to BBQ cookouts, it may be best to partake, rather than attempt to shut one down, as it violates the city’s code for outdoor grilling.

One NYC police officer reportedly told a group of residents barbecuing on the sidewalk that they had to move. And when they chose not to turn off their grills to adhere to NYC regulations, he took matters into his own hands.

Yet another disgusting death by a cop. And what was the crime you may ask? Flashing high beams.

Cop admits in the video that he had pulled over several people that night because they had flashed him. Apparently, the cop had a new cruiser and the lights on the vehicle were brighter than usual, and drivers responded by flashing him back. He gets a little power trip (typical of most cops) and start pulling people over for flashing him.

It's really stupid to pull that "am I being detained?" act, but that being said...... this cop took it way too far and acted like an idiot. He even admitted others had flashed him as well, but got his panties twisted at the kid because of his antics..... this is shameful. I'm not sure what the correct punishment is for that cop, but karma is a *****

I don't think I have a problem with this one.... it appeared the guy was starting to move toward the cop.

Two cops... with guns drawn vs one man with a knife.

We've seen this go down a lot differently without anyone dying before. Hell, they stalked this man from behind for a while. You would think a non-lethal weapon they should have in their tool bag would be some bolas. They could have easily projected bolas while his back was turned to them and walking away.

Dude had a big murderous knife and continued ignoring the officer's commands to drop it. I can't blame the officer for popping this guy.

I use to be a big proponent of law enforcement and officers, but I have seen how corrupt the system really is, and most cops are just as corrupt.

I am not saying all police officers are bad, but I guarantee you a majority of them are corrupt and dishonest.

Again, we've seen this same scenario handled very differently multiple times here with no one dying.

Why do you boot lick the cops so hard and defend these crazy and outrageous actions?

I guess he should have shot the knife out of his hand like the Lone Ranger would have.
You call me a boot licker when two posts above, I'm giving the cop down the road.
Rather than hating all cops all the time, I try to watch these videos objectively and give an opinion. In this instance, we don't know anything other than the cops were called because some nut job is walking around waving a 12" knife....he continues to ignore commands to drop it....that's all he had to do.... then after being told not to come towards him.., the guy starts in his direction... well.... lights out.

No words...

I saw this one a week or so ago. That guy should be fired immediately. It's BS like this that gets innocent people shot. What if the guy on the motorcycle jumped or put his hand up when the cop ran up on him like that?

Did you not catch the out he gave them?

"You can't ask the police to move the barricades, but you accept the consequences if you move the barricades."

Basically meaning "we can't do it for you, but you probably can while we're not looking."

Subtlety escapes many people looking to be offended and outraged.

That's exactly what I heard too.

If its a serious barricade it would be made out of concrete.
