Given all the QB drama by our fanbase i feel this needs to be put out there because some of us are too lazy to do research. Yes, Highschool stats are a fantastic base to go off of when recruiting. Yes Harrison Bailey had INSANE stats in High School. Once you step foot on campus all those stats DO NOT MATTER. You have to develop to read college defenses and run college football offenses that are wayy more complex than what you ran in highschool. Some guys come in and get it right away. Other guys come in and its like trying to drink from a firehose. Every player is gonna develop at their own pace. Bailey played in some games last year and looked OK at best. During the spring game he looked GREAT against scout team defense. Once he was put in with the 1s he was mediocre and didnt impress anymore. He has not performed aswell in fall camp as the other two. Thats just the cold hard fact. Lets look back to when pruitt first got here. Chaney and Pruitt tried getting Haynes King. Why do you think that is? If they thought they had their guy why would they try to go get another stud high school Qb? These coaches see things every day that WE DO NOT. I get some of you have the highest hopes for Bailey. Hell some of you have watched him since PeeWee football and thats ok. But to flat out say "This coaching staff needs to play Bailey before he transfers" is a bit overboard. We should listen and be patient with him and this staff. They know what they are doing. They havent had a failure at QB at any stop they have been to. Can we please wait and see how this stuff turns out before writing this QB and coaching staff off?

. But you know logic and reasoning won’t be used by our fanbase if Heupel starts Milton the whole game against Pitt and we lose by 20.

HB is a good QB. He and Hooker are both good enough to start and succeed in the SEC. As of now, neither has beaten Milton out. That's really all that's important.

I'm grateful UT has depth at QB like they haven't had for year. I'm glad that if Milton has to be replaced there are two more guys on the roster who can win.

Even I am tired of the discussion about this subject. Positive and negative comments are made and everyone can throw numbers and stats out witch can and are challenged by everyone. This is Pittsburg week and however tempted I am to respond, I will not and others should concentrate on beating Pitt. Over and out.

Bailey is a Soph who arrived in January 2020 and didn't have a spring practice or a normal summer. Then fall practice last year was limited. He then suffered through a season that blew up in everyones face. This year is really like starting from scratch for him. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. I hope he becomes a great quarterback here.

With all the controversy about QB order, let’s shake things up with some 2 QB system discussion. Looks like FSU Zis making it work.

I don't think anyone is writing the QB or the coaching staff off just yet, at least not that I have read. Are some people voicing their opinions on what they think is poor qb play? Yes, but I certainly haven't written anyone off nor will I until there is a lot more tape to go off of. It was the first game and I don't think he played well but hopefully his play improves this week.. Lets hope him and the receivers both do.

OMG, you do realize the year that Peyton Manning was recruited, they also signed Brandon Stewart.
