The Weightlifters Thread

Google dead lift form, the top three links I clicked all say lock out. I read and watched Rippetoe for my form. I would think not locking out would cause more lower back stress.

I would worry if you do a high weight and high intensity workout like deadlifts with a locked knee you would risk joint damage and/or passing out.

My start to yesterday's workout got derailed. When I got home and went in the garage my hot water heater had went out. After cleaning that up, I threw together a chest and back superset workout. Went as well as it could I guess. The damn mess the water heater created killed my Ultimate Warrior psyche up. I won't get to work out today. Working a long day. You meatheads lift hard for me today.

Arms day is bonus. If I make it through all the other workouts then I get to work them biceps and forearms. Make the ladies hawny!

I won't be able to operate the PS3 controller when I'm done!

Tomorrow is hoops day. That's my cardio.

Getting up early is tough, but it's always worth it after a good workout. This morning was legs.

What are some of yalls leg workouts? I like to keep it simple. Mine:

Squats
Leg Press
Leg Extensions
Leg Curls
Deadlifts
Calfs

My workouts are all short

Squats
Lunges
Calf Raises
Leg Curls

Just this week I added straight leg deads. My regular deadlifts are on back/shoulders day.

I do calf raises on the leg press machine, and sometimes I'll just throw up a few reps of leg press simultaneously.

Yesterday was my legs day, and I'm a bit disappoint. I can feel it really bad on my backside and inner thighs. My calves, hammys and quads are great.

That's okay, though, because that means I'll be like 90% for bball in the morning.

I am always rotating exercises and the order, but typical quad/hamstring day:

Leg extensions, Legg Press, Squats, Lying leg curls, seated leg curls, stiff legged deadlifts.
