The Weightlifters Thread

this is my first post so this may have already been asked, what are some of yall's most impressive feats of strength and/or endurance in the gym?

No real endurance feats & only max on bench as friendly competition with friends. Max on bench was 380 but I been slack for a couple months. Was repping 400+ on squat but never maxed or intend to with that.

Welcome. Weightlifter's thread is a great place to start.

I don't really have any impressive feats. I went to the gym 300 times in a year (I keep meticulous records) and cleaned up my weights when I was done with them. All I can brag on is dedication.

thanks, i've read this thread for a while now and thought i may start posting a little bit. i'm not much to argue over the internet so i don't post in the football or recruiting threads. too much junk over there.

anyways, staying dedicated is a very impressive feat. without dedication, it is hard to reach your goals.

Welcome to the forum! I am not that strong, I have squatted 315 X 10, and deadlifted 435 X 4. Incline Dbs I have hit 110's X 6, and DB shoulder press 90's X 5. Like OW said, post often.

That is dedication, and I like the fact that you clean up your weights.

I don't have a very strict diet - but I eat well regardless. A lot of simple foods, like salmon, rice, and a veggie for dinner. Oatmeal and greek yogurt in the morning. Lunch is prob my weakest link. If I don't have leftovers, I normally eat a sandwich or something. During the summers I can normally force myself to eat more salads. I generally just make sure I'm getting enough protein.

im gonna throw out some of the cliche gym questions...how much can you bench, squat, and deadlift? How big are your arms? Ill start...bench 330, squat 425, deadlift 495. Arms are 18 inches with a pump btw im 5'10" and 215 lbs.

I do not max out, but I posted some of my stats earlier. You are a beast. Nice work.

I try to do 5 or more reps on every set. The range I usually fall in on the standard lifts:

Bench 225 x 6-10
Squats 315 x 8-10
Dead Lift 275 x 8-12

6' 2" 202 lbs
16.5" arms

I've always tracked my progress with weights. The only "size" feedback I get is from my fiancee.

thanks...im not big on maxing out. Those are numbers ive hit during a normal workout. If i was to focus solely on the one rep max i could probably do a little more than what i listed.

5 reps is normally as low as i go too. Sometimes i like to go as low as 3 or 1 rep just to change it up
