I never took that into consideration. So many people would get up from their bench, walk around while looking in the mirror, then do another set. I couldn't even get to the area that has kettlebells because of the sheer amount of people looking into the mirrors. No gym should have mirrors. Also, I do chest like once a month... I could care less what I bench. My goal is to get lean and have powerful, quick legs. I need to master front squats next, I think.
I can't do without mirrors. I've got to be vigilant about watching my form. I should probably prioritize my chest more. My back was my biggest weak point, but I don't think that's the case anymore.
Also, it's considered by most to be totally d-bag, but Arnold was convinced of the effectiveness of flexing between sets. You are stimulating the muscle for growth, and when you flex he says you are telling the muscle how you want it to grow. Not enough people flex in front of the mirror, IMO. If more people did it, I'd feel comfortable doing it. As is, I try to flex incognito.
That doesn't change the fact that it's annoying to have no idea what benches are still being used, and which have weights left on them by previous user.
