The Weightlifters Thread

I've lived with that imbalance for a long time...this is chest, legs and shoulders. Forearms can stay imbalanced for all I care. IMO

When lyle discovered the internet:

Could you explain those two for me please? I've never heard of it.

My understanding is they are the muscles in the arms and legs.

I'm assuming that's his pull day so push is probably front delts, triceps, and maybe some extra leg work. All jmo assumption.

Shoulders, arms and legs, yes.

Appendicular pull would be posterior delts, lateral delts, biceps and wrist flexors. Appendicular push would be anterior delts, triceps and wrist extensors. Shrugs could be worked in on either day, although I only work those in once, maybe twice a month. Last time I was still able to shrug 545lbs (250kg for BPV) after a three week hiatus, and they easily get disproportionately large if I work them every week.

Very interesting. Thanks.

How long have you been on that routine? And does it seem to work pretty well for you?

I need a new workout routine myself. One that is geared specifically for football athletes. I have been doing one for going on 2 months, but I feel it is time for something new.

My old one went like this:

Monday: Chest
Tuesday: Back
Wednesday: Legs
Thursday: Arms
Friday: Shoulders

The last one was alright, but I'm not sure. Just not feeling it anymore.

I'm the opposite of most dudes... I can gain incredibly easy but I have a hard time staying not fat. Currently steady at 225lbs (5'10") with a 33" waist on a normal/somewhat light diet. Soon as I have a few fast meals or a dinner at Morton's, though... Big pants for a few days.

This is like my best friend. When we met (age 16) he was 300 lbs and I was 150 lbs. Now I outweigh him (age 29). He visited this past weekend and all we did was veg. He was 193 Friday and today he texted me that he's 207 lbs!

My weight can fluctuate like crazy... If I pigged out over the next two weeks, I could easily pack on another fifteen pounds, but I've also taken a week off before and lost ten pounds in five days.
