Almost all countries have a democratic process, the U.S. isn't a democracy, its a republic with certain democratic processes.

This is all like screaming "freedom".

A representative or constitutional Republic is a form of democracy.

A big mistake we make as Americans is assuming everyone wants a Democratic form of government. Not everyone is into Apple Pie, Hulk Hogan, and Bald Eagles

By definition we can't really poll people on whether they want to be free. I do agree with you that some cultures don't do well with freedom. Democracy's not for everyone

Arguing over the degrees of intrusion is pointless. There was an intrusion, it was significant, we assert ourselves there in a significant way and Trump even expressly reserved the right to do it again if the new leadership doesn't measure up to our standards.

What if a new leader emerged who would put an end to the drug cartels, but was an avowed socialist and a vocal critic of Trump. Think he/she would last long? Nope.

I hope we can agree that the people of Venezuela did not want Maduro. I am of the opinion that they could not remove him. We did them a service by doing it for them. Lots of pitfalls ahead but removing him is a good move for the people of Venezuela
