We actually have a lot of success stories on this sort of thing and many are in this hemisphere. We've helped free the people of El Salvador, Panama and Grenada. In the Middle East there's Kuwait
you keep using that word, but I don't think it means what you think it means.

In the case of the Latin American countries they have the right to vote. In the case of Kuwait, they were freed from Saddam
they have a right to vote for whichever candidates we will allow.

considering the oil in Kuwait I think of it more as they called in a favor, rather than us freeing them of our own free will. pun intended.

Add Eastern Europe to the list as well with their freedom from the Soviets.

again, quiet literally impossible. Russia was involved before we were a country. even circling to this particular chain of events Russia bought the Ukrainian president before there was ever a shooting for you to be confused about.

you mean we CIA'd the Ukrainians to get Russia to invade them? is your argument that the CIA is SO good that what they do in a third country ALSO directly causes the acts of our long time enemy?

as has been stated you suffer from a unique strand of American Exceptionalism. instead of there being no good in the world without the US, you believe there is no bad in the world without the US.

Its not an argument. Why are they your enemy? see Congressional Report on this subject which I have directed multiple times in the Ukraine thread.

Why do you think the U.S. military was questioning motive?

This isn't complex.

So you agree with China that Taiwan isn't a legitimate independent country?

The vast majority of the world has that policy including the U.S.. To me its their business, if you believe otherwise, I would not stop you from going to go fight if you wish.

“This time it’s going to be different.”

The only thing different this time is Trump is being honest about it 😂, all one has to do is listen to Rubio as a followup as well.

I'm not even getting into whether this is evil or not yet, I am questioning how anyone that voted Trump wouldn't see what is going on. Jeb Bush would have done this in 2017, why hire a Bush wanna be to do something a Bush is available to do. Obviously, the Orange man didn't leave the club.

never said they were my enemy. I have stated multiple times that our aid to Ukraine has been too much, so I don't know what tree you are barking up.

what does the report have to do with anything? Knowing what Russia is going to do with Ukraine doesn't make what Russia does with Ukraine our fault.

robber is holding a gun to your kid/dog, tells you not to take another step even though your kid/dog wants you to. robber shooting the kid/dog because you took another step to stop them doesn't make the shooting your fault. the robber chose their course of action. they took the action of their own free will. especially in this case the open door was right behind the robber, they were free to leave before you ever showed up. the fault lies with the robber who chose to shoot, not with us knowing the threat. anyone with common sense recognises that truth.

If China invades Taiwan, then we will.

It's why for the last 6 to 8 years we have been rebuilding/restoring our long defunct WWII military facilities and air strips across the islands of the Pacific like the once massive airbase at Tinian.

No question oil and the Persian Gulf had something to do with Kuwait. As for the other countries, all of those were poised to go authoritarian and we saved them from that

China can't invade Taiwan, China can re-establish control of Taiwan. Nobody is going in to save those people, which is why they are desperately trying to build chip plants here. You will hit reset way before any of that, and "we" will all be searching for meals. China doesn't even need to invade, just cut them off, starvation is a real thing.

I was hoping the Orange man could postpone the obvious result but we might be on an accelerated rate now. (we'll see over the coming weeks)

Do you know if they wanted to go authoritarian or not?

A big mistake we make as Americans is assuming everyone wants a Democratic form of government. Not everyone is into Apple Pie, Hulk Hogan, and Bald Eagles

In the 80s the joke was, what is the difference between a rebel and a freedom fighter in south and central america. One of them the U.S. supports.

Using these buzzword is like screaming "freedom". Everyone screams it.

Almost all countries have a democratic process, the U.S. isn't a democracy, its a republic with certain democratic processes.

This is all like screaming "freedom".

I feel like that nutter showed up right around when Ras mysteriously 86'd himself.
he definitely became more active when Ras stepped back. there was another crazy person who stepped in who I thought was Ras, but I think ND pinged him as someone else instead.
