Recently had that heart attack and realized I am probably not long for this world. Never planned on growing old or retiring, my family medical history and lifestyle made that obvious...but now I am soon to be 49 and just hoping that I make 52 or 53 to see my youngest out of college and maybe meet my 1st grandkid from my son. I am thankful for the time I have been given with my kids and hope I can make those milestones.

For people to waste their precious time bitter, angry, and obsessed with a complete stranger they have never even met is complete insanity. Especially since for the vast majority of people their day to day life has not changed in any meaningful way when Trump was in office before, and now. Our country doesn't really work that way thankfully. It's not a Banana Republic. It's a huge train with hundreds of millions of cars (people) rolling down the track and it takes miles and miles just to slow it down slightly or speed it up. It's nearly impossible to stop. Having a different Conductor driving the train has very little effect on the day to day lives of the vast majority of people on that train. My son has coworkers who treat several patients for TDS at their collective practice. There are several who post here that would be much better off to get some help...rather than waste the next 3 years of precious time with their head tied in knots over Trump.

Quit smoking cigarettes, dammit.

You still have your grandpa arc to live out.

Offering an opinion of Machado is not a definitive statement.

If you accept "I do not see" as a statement of confirmation / specifics / definitive, I don't know what to tell you.

I bet in the same breath that you take Trump's opining about Machado as gospel, you aren't shooting down all these "experts" who using "i do not see this working" aren't pushing back either.

It is dumb. This is 24 hours in. Trump and specifically Rubio, aren't going to just say we got Maduro and its over.
Definitive? Obviously not. A window into his thinking? Absolutely. Do I think he's going to pic the path he wants? 100%.

Don't give up so easy, had my first heart attack at 39,spent 18days ICU Vanderbilt, told 60 was a dream. In my 70's now. Knowing you have heart disease and treating it gives you a leg up. Keep kicking I enjoy debating with you.

We didn't attack a sovereign country and their legitimate government. Continuing to say this lie either shows your ignorance or lack of education on the subject.
Venezuela is absolutely a sovereign country. It doesn't matter if the leader of Venezuela is duly elected or not, it's still a sovereign country. Dictators reign over many sovereign countries.

I've never argued that their government was anything but illegitimate. I support the move that Trump made... but now the hard part comes.

Hang in there bro you might surprise yourself. Even after heart attack you could have another 20 or 30 years left for sure. I had a bout of A-Flutter during this past summer and could have easily died had I not just gone in for a routine check at my urgent Care nearby.

@marcusluvsvols- Fewer words in your posts will help your heart....jk

Someone should probably tell her that Viceroy Marco Rubio is in charge now, not her.

It makes sense that Trump is refusing to work with the popularly elected opposition since Machado won the Nobel Peace Prize he wanted.

Appreciate the kind words. The point i was hoping to make definitely wasn't about me though...rather that life is too short to waste it on a politician. Definitely not intended specifically for either of you though. Nor anyone else in particular. Just in general.

Trump loves him some right wingers. Here's some unsolicited advice: let the Venezuelans choose their own f****** leader. In a free and fair election.

Isn't this everything that our country stands for?

Going on TV to defend your "law enforcement' action and say that if Maduro had just left Venezuela on his own, you wouldn't have executed the US arrest warrant that you used as the basis for your military action, is probably not going to help th DOJ make their case.

Cuba has been falling for 100 years. They will extract whatever they want to extract.

Yeah, I have given up on Cuba doing anything meaningful. Over half their population lives in Florida now.

The fact that their regime survived Fidel Castro speaks volumes that there just isn't enough opposition and fight left to get rid of the dictatorship. USA won't do anything about it either because there isn't any value anymore. They don't have any resources USA needs and they are not a real threat.

We need to stay out of Cuba. It is their mess to fix anyways.

Or more. There are so many variables involved. How much damage, if any, was there to his heart? Which part of the heart was affected? Refraction rate. BMI. Some people can have a heart attack, open heart surgery, and two years later be healthier than they have ever been in their life. Being void of diabetes is also helpful
