In your mind, what did this article prove? You thought I was denying troops are in Syria?

Now show me evidence anyone has this under control or is funding and helping terrorist controlling the situation. Truly impressive.

Lol show you evidence of what exactly? Have zero clue what you’re asking for.

You claimed we are stealing Syrian oil. You’ve not even tried to prove that to this point.

You’re assuming those two statements are mutually exclusive. Our boots are off the ground in Venezuela, so it’s not like Iraq.

You can control the action of others without a massive military presence in their country. I think the new lady in charge will play ball.
We're stationed right off the coast with plenty of might just in case

Well, you said that the U.S. could control things without massive troops. (see below) Is that how its working in Syria, was that the plan is to have a bunch of terrorist running the country that have killed 1,000s of Americans?

You can control the action of others without a massive military presence in their country.

I mean doesn't it seem like like even when there is a massive military presence, the U.S. fails?

I'm trying to look for this secret sauce you got.

Lmfao you couldn’t have moved the goal posts more. Yes we can control Venezuelan policy without massive troops. Not sure Id call our presence in Syria massive, but that’s not what you claimed.

You claimed we were stealing the oil. Surely Putin didn’t lie to you when he told you that. Show your evidence….

Well, where is the oil going? (i mean that is one subject)

True, but you are saying you don't need a massive presence. So, what is going on in Syria is the plan and its working?

Show me. You made a claim.

I’m really sorry you guys lost Syria because of your occupation of Ukraine. That has to hurt. Now you’ve lost Venezuela too and possibly Iran. I get this isn’t easy for you

'Secure the oil': Trump's Syria strategy leaves Pentagon perplexed
A fortnight after ordering a complete evacuation of US troops ahead of a Turkish incursion into northeastern Syria, abandoning Kurdish partners in the fight against Isis, Trump changed his mind and said some forces should stay but only to “secure the oil”.

I don't know what you mean by you guys, I'm an American, I served in the U.S. Air Force, I have served in many of those places. What you are now doing is deflecting. This is something that nutjob beard would say.

I'm questioning why you want Americans to pay for terrorists activities, it seems not only bizarre but quite insane. But back on point, you are saying that the U.S. can control things without massive troops.... okay, is that what is going on in Syria?

It was up roughly 10 times, not percent before all this happened from the beginning of 2025 to early December. 😂

During 2025 the value of the VES dropped from 52 per USD to over 300 per USD.
The stock market prices would have to multiply by about 6 in VES during the same time to stay even in USD purchasing value.

So, the President was involved in all those crimes but not the VP?

US Control Of Venezuela Could Last For Years, Trump Says | ZeroHedge

The White House issued two interesting, and somewhat perplexing new statements on Venezuela amid the post-Maduro 'transition'.

First, the White House said Wednesday that the US would be "dictating" future decisions made by the Venezuelan government - which is now officially headed up by Acting President Delcy Rodriguez, who was Maduro's VP since 2018, and is seen as a 'loyalist' to his political movement and system.

"The government of Venezuela is in charge in our country, and no one else. There is no foreign agent governing Venezuela," Rodriguez said, and she went to call on Washington to release Maduro, who has declared to a New York federal court that he is a political "prisoner".

Oh Lord, you'll trigger some folks up in here.
flip any of the things the US has done, to happening to the US, and most people would consider that war.

9/11 was one day by a couple people, we went to war for that.
our president is kidnapped and yall aren't walking around going "lol no need for war"
China hits our nuclear facilities and you guys won't be sitting here singing kumbyah.

The discussion in reference was about trump's campaign promises not to get us into more endless wars and nation building. People seem to take great issue with definitions and requests for links/quotes to prove their points. Usually ends up in red herring debates that have nothing to do with the points in dispute.

No, you got in to semantics as to "war", now you are switching it to endless war. What has been occurring is war or acts of war.

no new wars shouldn't come down to an argument of semantics or scale. Trump is pulling his best Bill Clinton asking "what the definition of is is".

our military took violent action in another country. that sounds like war. those defining it as not war would not hold the same standard were things flipped.

his campaign promise would hold water if it was "no new multi decade military occupations" but thats not the case.

I'm not saying that Trump had the power and authority to do what was done without going through congress but Maduro was viewed as an international criminal. The Biden administration had a $25M bounty on him. He stayed in power as a dicator after he lost an election. He was selling embargoed oil to the adversary. He emptied out jails and prisons to send them to the US, his country is a huge importer of cocaine, cartels help him run the country. His citizens were starving. His country is in the Western Hemisphere and his actions with Cuba, Iran, China, Russia, and working with terrorists in the Middle East to train cartel members are a threat to national security. Trump just doesn't talk a good game like administrations before him.
