These same cartels are influential in many central and south american govts. Why aren't we taking these same criminal measures with them?

Posters want to sit here and debate their opinions on the subject go ahead. I'm going off what Trump said during his campaign that is fact. Be patient, this is against drug cartels that are named as terrorist organization wherever they operate. These countries .gov will have opportunity to cooperate or resist either way there is no safe haven for these terrorists.

You know why the terrorist designation is so important? It's blanket auth to bomb them without answering to anyone

If in fact a port was targeted where drug boats depart from, I would say special forces was used and not a bomb from an aircraft. If that is the case Trump shouldn't even open his mouth.

Where it would be staying no doubt. I am sure the drug trade in Suriname makes the drug trade in the USA look like a sale at Dollar General. The Europeans should be thanking us if they were in fact headed to Europe. They are still drug cartels on the open sea. I like the cooperation. I get that you support criminals as long as Trump is in charge.

This is a slightly more overt version of Reagan’s “Operation Snowcap”. I supported that and I support this 100%. The western hemisphere has a law and order sheriff again. Hopefully without an Iran contra CIA boondoggle.

If we really want to save lives, we should bribe some Chinese that hate the government over there to bomb/disable the factories that produce the chemicals related to fentanyl....and keep doing it too. That would make the biggest dent. The Chinese couldn't do anything about it militarily....it would be suicide on their part if they did. We should also kick all Chinese students out of the U.S. too, but we won't. No administration will do that it appears.
