The Runner's thread

It's been a while since I have hit the pavement, I ran a 5k today, was the kickoff to the Pittsburgh Marathon tomorrow. They are expecting 22,000 folks downtown tomorrow. I would love to try and do a marathon one day, I admire the folks that do it.

2 miles Friday, 4 yesterday. New total - 300.

I've had a lot going on in my personal life, which has resulting in my running a lot more. Friday my Ipod died...on mile one of 7. I was not pleased.

ran for the first time in a while tonight. haven't mapped it out yet. I'm thinking it was just over a mile.

The ipod is alive!!! it was just the dumb headphones with the controller built in. I've put in a weeks worth of miles since with no problems. I was in the hospital this weekend so I didn't get to run but i'm hoping to get in a decent run this evening.

A 28 mile bike ride on saturday and 2 mountains this afternoon turned my 12 mile run into a bit of a hike.

your second uphill is almost 2.5 miles of uphill...that's CRAZY!

I struggle with downhill running. I know you are supposed to relax on it, but I just struggle with it. That would kill me there.
