Thanks everybody. I would like to dedicate the race to the tall blond with the long legs wearing the lycra booty shorts and the tiny girl from africa with the amazing accent, perfectly cut calves and running skirt dressed like a fitness model. Both of them finished in front of me but I was perfectly happy with that.

The most amazing thing, to me, is the look on her face. Something tells me mine would look a lot different after 26.2.

5.1 this morning. Humidity is creeping up on us to make for some less pleasant running. On the upside, no gloves and hats.

Follow-up question: Do you guys wear a water belt/waist pack with a pocket for your phone or carry it? I can't imagine running with the thing in my hand and haven't mustered the courage to don a fanny pack.

Well I actually carry mine, mainly because I'm a student who doesn't really have $30 to spend on an armband. But that's what id like to get someday, I've worn some and you hardly notice your wearing it, and it makes listening to music very simple if you are interested in that.

No fanny packs, unless its orange

I wear an arm band...no fanny pack. I don't need a drink till mile 13

I have an extra arm band because my wife and I are on vacation this week. We forgot our armband and bought two more. I will send you one if you pay for shipping.

I don't have an armband cause I've been too lazy to buy one. I carry handheld water bottles sweat like a ho a in church. Shove my phone in the mesh pocket with my gels.

I do the armband ad hook the headphones through the hangup loop on the back of the collar.

4.5 today, half mountain trail half road. My dog, Thomas Jefferson, loved it.

I did 4 miles last night. I'm seeing so much wildlife it's amazing. A couple of weeks ago it was 2 copperheads, last night it was a raccoon. Got in a staring match with it. I got within about 6 ft of it, amazing.

I'm running a chocolate labrador, I would have figured that would have spooked the coon. Nervous he might have had rabies, but he just stood there looking at me like he was saying "you want some of this???"
