The ref screwed up

This coaching staff snatched defeat from the jaws of victory not the refs. No waye in hell do you give a wr that much room on 4th and 14 let alone give up a touchdown. John J along with Jones game management cost us that game.

That's exactly what happened, and Butch was right there asking as soon as it happened. Butch should be called timeout as soon as that kid came off the bench and was clueless.

If you take the TO out there and then have another offensive penalty we have to take a 10second runnoff and lose the game. My opinion is that we should have spiked it ans saved the timeout but only with 11 men on the field.

The clock operation on the final drive cost UT at least one additional play, probably two plays. Probably worth filing a compliant... With that being said, we had the better team on the field and had dozens of chances to win the game and didn't. And that is the larger issue that has to be corrected.

I personally think the calls had little effect on the game as they were poor against both sides.
However, it was one of the worst officiated games I've watched.
The refs seemed more than a little confused and overwhelmed out there.

He stopped the clock because it was a first down not because yhe player went out of bounds. He made a judgment call that the players progress was stopped in bounds. When the ball was spotted the clock started again. Correct action by the ref. Nice try though.

W are lucky they didn't do the runoff. I thought the game was over and was excited for a chance we didn't deserve.

Refs did hose us on the last drive BUT it never should have come down to that. Period. Our coach must grow a lot to be here long term. If he does not change how he handles end game situations and calls and start winning games that matter he won't be here in a couple years. That is reality.

I counted about 20 seconds that ran off the clock that should not have on the last drive, but that's all hometown clock operation. If not for the last penalty, the 50 yard FG should have made it. It just comes down to coaching, these guys need to be prepared to line up.

The no call on Fla for 12 on the field during the last FG try didn't help

How many times does it have to be pointed out they did NOT have 12 men on the field on the last attempt? That's the attempt before, and UF called timeout BECAUSE they had 12 men on the field.

I counted that much time come off from running our o up to the line without a play called or looking to the sideline for an audible.
For this being a hurry up offense, we wasted to much time at the line. How can these kids run a play when they don't know what the play is until the ball is about to be snapped. It's no wonder there's so much confusion and we look like a cluster **** out on the field.

We got called for a penalty with 12 men on the field. Ellis thought he was in so he ran out there and we got the penalty, lost the time out, and 18 seconds

It does not excuse the many bungles by our coaching staff, but on the next to last play of the game after we got a 1st down the ref signaled that the player got out of bounds.

The clock should have stopped. We subbed while the clock was running, which led to confusion and our illegal substitution.

Still, Butch should have called timeout once the clock started running and avoided the penalty.

Also, not going for the 2pt conversion is inexcusable.

Kind of tired about hearing about how the ref screwed up. Missed the calls against Oklahoma. Bungled the call against Florida. Let's not put ourselves in the position of depending on the ref to make the right call.

Nope. He initially waived his arms over his head indicating out of bounds. Video will surface.
