You do realize Kobe is never open right?
Kobe never being open is his own fault. Early in his career him being in an ISO situation 15 feet out, you were at his mercy, he could take you to the rim or he could pull a variety of moves on you and score in just about any way imaginable.
Having that skill set for long, he never really learned to play off the ball, nowadays he can't get the same seperation he used to and he is basically a non-threat to take any defender worth his salt to the rim.
With the big the Lakers have you would think they could draw up a few curls or flare screens to get him in to open space within 12 feet from the basket.
Instead, it's the same song different verse, when he is on he's great, when he isn't, he's a team killer.
This is dumb.
Lakers' Blake, wife target of attacks on Twitter - Yahoo! Sports
If fans want a scapegoat, why not rip Kobe for his bone-headed turnover which ignited that late Thunder run? If they had scored on that possession, the Lakers would have won.
Kobe is a God to LA fans, he can do no wrong.
That's just sad to threaten a guy over a basketball game, it's not Blake's fault the Lakers have terrible guard play and he is seeing significant minutes when he shouldn't.
People tend to love guys who played a big hand in 5 championships for the best franchise in the game.
I'm pretty sure that graph had nothing to do with clutch anything, it has to do with Kobe's shot selection and where he is best and worst at.Huh? Confused? It's easy to win an argument when the person you are debating who loves stats puts up a graph that proves Kobe is the most clutch player in the playoffs.
Is that not a good answer?
Kobe isn't as good as he used to be, but he is a still a top ten player in the league.
Ortiz isn't in the same atmosphere in terms of talent.
That last sentence has me scratching my head, in all that I posted, that is what you got out of it?
The point was about prior accomplishments not making a player immune to critque for what he is currently doing, not an Ortiz vs Kobe debate.
Jesus.
This is true. Sign and trade for future picks in the draft. Kobe with a true point could be dangerous
Not really.
Kobe is an isolation player. He doesn't cut to the rim or come of curls and screens. He gets the ball in the mid post or on the wing.
Not sure how having Nash is going to help him. The other player should benefit though.
