Jordan would thrive today for many reasons. #1 Psychologically he was/is far superior than anyone he played against. He could easily talk people out of their game.
#2 In this era he doesn't have to worry about players like Laimbeer, Mahorn, Charles Oakley, Rodman etc..guys who would put you on your rear if you drove the lane. Gone are the days when guys had to earn a basket if they entered the paint. A hard foul today gets you suspended and fined, back then it was just hard play. Imagine LeBron against Detroit or the Knicks back in the late 80's early 90's, he cries for fouls now (not as much as Wade) but most players today cry if you fart in their direction.
#3 The hand checking. Jordan was so good at creating space against his defender and those guys could keep a hand on him. He would be unguardable.
Before I go let me say this, I'm not a huge Jordan fan. Magic was my favorite player but I would love to see the matchup between last years Heat team and Jordan's best Bulls team.
'96 Bulls in 5. Jordan played on better teams.
Lebron gets knocked to the ground all the time and he's bigger than MJ. Yeah the suspensions are stronger today, but the way you phrase it is as if Lebron can play carefree. He's been abused in these playoffs.
