2 things are crystal clear after tonight's win by the Spurs.
1) this Spurs team may be a top 5-7 team of all time
2) the Lebron/Jordan comparisons have officially ended for good
The Jordan/Lebron comparisons are stupid in the first place because most people just want to compare team accomplishments and decide who is better.
The comparisons will never stop, because for the few people that evaluate based on talent, basketball IQ, and effort, they can clearly see LJ is on MJ's level.

So is Larry, and Magic but they ain't MJ either. If MJ was on this team he would be dropping 50 on the Spurs because the rest of the team is struggling. If his teammates were not giving fully effort, MJ would punch someone. LBJ is the second best player ever, but him and MJ are just 2 extremely different basketball players. LBJ is more Magic than MJ.
Idk about Lebron being a baby, but wade was just walking up and down the court crying for calls. He was the last person back on defense.I'm still waiting on an answer to this one. I just watched James and Wade's post game interview and saw nothing of the sort.
Maybe I just misunderstood the post. I figured he was saying they were behaving like babies. Maybe he was saying that they were acting like they belonged to a baby? Which after watching the post game interviews would actually make more sense.
I said on this team, which would be in this era. No hand checking, you can't just kill a guy when he goes inside, everything is a foul. The way MJ attacked he probably gets 15 a game just on FTs alone.
Edit: ftr that post was just pointing out that they are different players. Magic is the far better comparison than MJ.

BTW, on comparing LJ to Magic rather MJ...I used to be on board with that, but now I don't think there is anyone that is a fair comparison. Lebron scores a lot more than Magic did, he plays great D, and he's a 3 point threat. Magic was pass first.
I think LJ's style has just as much in common with MJ as it does Magic.
Sure hand check and other rule changes, but why are we so certain Jordan would thrive more today?
Today there seem to be many more athletic centers who can cover a lot of ground in help D. Zone defense is now permitted. Jordan didn't have to worry about an epidemic of flopping defenders every time he went to the hoop. 3 point line is further back. That's just a few points off the top of my head. I'm sure there are other changes that don't favor offense.

What? The centers in his era>>>>>>>>>> todays centers and it's not really close. He only hit 0.5 3's per game so thats not really going to effect him. Flopping is a very valid argument, he was super aggressive that would definitely hurt him. Ftr his defense would probably suffer for the same reasons his offense would be better.
