Lol they have a thread titled "now would be a good time to schedule depleted UAB"
Because if ticket sales are any indication, they don't even know they have a stadium.
Much less where it is.
i can only imagine how bad their ticket sales are for this season. They went down drastically last yr and they had a good home slate. This yr they have a lame home schedule and their team is back to its old ways. Gonna be pathetic!
and their home slate features WKU, Austin Peay, Kentucky and Mizzou lol. So embarrassing that they go down the road to play @ MTSU to be the Blue Raiders Homecoming opponent lol

My girlfriend is in grad school at Vandy. I dropped her off on campus about 2.5 hours before they played Charleston Southern last season and the campus was an absolute ghost town. There was a small (50 people max) group tailgating on the Blakemore side of campus, but zero activity near the football stadium. NO ONE in Vanderbilt gear, no fans gathered, nothing. It was sad but also hilarious.
Seeing pics tweeted of the crowd at Vandy's home games has been one of my favorite parts of the season and I imagine it will be worse than ever this year--especially if they lose badly to WKU right out of the gate.

Hell, Stockstill would actually be a pretty decent hire for Vandy if they can Mason after this year, although I'm not sure Stock wants to subject himself to that team.
I hope MTSU can pull out the win. Despite Vandy's suckage, they will be the better team. But MTSU hates Vandy more than we do, so that's gotta count for something.
And Rick Stockstill, as boring and "average" as he might be, should still outcoach Mason.

Yeah Vandy is the better team but not by much at all. Its certainly possible that MTSU wins that game at home. Like you said, they will be jacked up and they run the ball pretty well there. Vandy is not the better team when they play WKU and Houston.
I'd really love to see APSU give them a run for their money.
I'd be willing to accept a win against Houston or WKU in order to see the greater embarrassment of losing to the Governors...who am I kidding, I'd like to see an 0-12 season.
If you told me I could play at Vandy on scholarship or a high end MAC school or another low end SEC team (KY for instance) I'd take Vandy probably as well. The odds of NFL for college players is almost as small as college for high school players, and if you're so good you're going to the NFL, then as long as its a DI school it really doesn't matter because a scout will find you.
While a degree from Vandy is generally a very good thing to have, it's a bit of a myth that everybody who graduates from there moves right into "CEO training" at a fortune 100 company with designs to retire at 35. Know a kid who went to and got his degree from Vandy....he's now teaching at a middle school in south Williamson county and living with his parents.
College degrees aren't what they used to be from any college, save maybe a law degree from Harvard or a comp sci degree from Stanford.
