The Golf Thread

what did you do to it?

Got rid of the stock burner shaft (46.5" matrix ozik stiff) and put in a 45" aldila RIP stiff shaft.

In case you didn't see my post a few pages back, I have a burner superfast 2.0 and was having a hell of a time being consistent with it.

Shaft makes a hell of a difference for me. I have to driver heads that are identical. With one shaft, I put it in the fairway 95% of the time. The other shaft doesn't even know what a fairway is.

I went to the range today and I'm in love with what I did to the driver. When I hit it perfect, I might have lost 10 yards compared to a perfect shot with the longer shaft, but man it was nice being able to hit 3 or 4 drives in a row to nearly the same spot. This was definitely the most control I've ever had over this club.
Now you have a driver you can & want to hit.

What heads? Both shafts the same length? List what shafts they are

I've seen the Tiger whine many times. It's a battle between those two and tension runs a bit high.

I have no doubt that playing with Tiger presents challenges merely due to the sheer size of the gallery. But guys like Sergio get a case of rabbit ears when things go wrong.

But, you have noticed the little Tiger pouty face over the past 5 years or so, haven't you? Little camera clicks upset him so.

It might as well be a major. It's got a major caliber field and it's on a somewhat iconic course.

Absurd. No one in general conversation talks about The Players.

Also, Sergio has won it. Thus it could never be a major.

Lastly, one of the idiots on NBC referred to it as the "crown jewel" of gold. They sound like idiots.

Everybody that follows the Tour talks about it. Aside from the 4 majors, it's probably alongside the Memorial and the Tour Championship as the most prestigious trophies on tour.

A lot of years, I probably watch the Players more closely than I do something like the British.
