Ended up playing Baileyton today because the Crossings was packed (my fault for not calling ahead and getting a tee time). Shot an 84. I'm still trying to break 40 on 9 holes.. was even through 5 today and was 6 over on holes 6-9.. Knew I was playing well and started thinking about my score instead of my shots.

i remember playing baileyton some back in the day. when it rains any at all that place is a mess. goat ranch and beer drinking golf. yes!!!

Well those greens were super fast, faster than they were when they had the us open there but four 3 putts is unheard of.

played my first alternate shot match today. Actually more fun than I thought it would be. We shot an 85. Sounds mediocre at best, but we won the first round by 8.

I've never played alternate shot before. I think it would be pretty fun.

I actually was not that excited about it, but it was fun. There were some huge scores as a guy would hit OB and the other player is hitting 3 off the tee on a long hole. I believe one team had an 11. Another team started out with a 9 as we were all heckling on the box. They had to re tee and the second guy put one out. Hitting 5 off the first tee led them to a lot of beer drinking.

I'm loving the game of golf right now. Started the year like garbage, but I'm playing better than ever right now. Personal best at Willow Creek today.

Here's my issue....Why the heck does playing well make me want to get all new sticks? Makes no sense.

I'm sure you're good with the driver you have if you're still blasting it 350+.

I'm the opposite. When I play bad I buy a new club or set. It's always the equipment and never a me problem.
