Some do, but many do not need members. In fact, at most exclusive, old school clubs, having the funds to join is generally not the determining factor of whether or not you can join. If you haven't been around the game much, they're not letting you in if you're a billionaire.
Slow play is much more common at public/municipal coures than at a private club and the gap is extremely wide on it too
Pinecrest (which sucks), Eagle Pointe and Crescent Pointe in Bluffton right before the bridge and Dolphin Head over on Port Royal. I don't play those much down there though since I'd rather just play the courses in Sea Pines or Palmetto Dunes.

What do you think of Springdale CC, we moved back to Fayetteville instead of Shadow Valley
So I'm considering Springdale CC
We're just off Joyce and Crossover so it's pretty close
No Initiation fee an $257 a month with a two year minimumIt's decent since they put the new 9 in. Ive only played it a couple times and it was respectably maitained If the Blessings is doable, it's the spot. Low membership numbers, so you can play all you want. They've softened it some too, so it's more playable. Just a great, great course. Very tough, but awesome, including the practice facility.
What's the pricing at Springdale?
