The Golf Thread

I don't know what has happened. Haven't shot 100 in 15 yrs, which is when I first played. Playing as a 9 for the past year and have been from a 6 to a 12 on and off, depending on how the year goes.
I'm afraid I just David Duval'd myself. 3 straight over 100 and the ball is going nowhere, or goes somewhere I didn't expect. I shot 81 and 76 the 2 rounds prior on the same course.
I can't believe it's happening, to be honest. I'm very competitive and this **** is killing me.

Get some new clubs.

New putter cover...ordered it from Delilah at Girlygolfer.com
She can pretty much do anything you want and awesome to work with...

The flag and Power T are emboidered on white leather and it has a magnetic closure

Thanks
I bought a used cameron without a HC..So thought I would get this instead of a new Cameron cover to go with it

Bought an orange whip today. Used if for like five minutes then throughout my range session. Worked really well with tempo and my release.

Got my razr fit driver yesterday. Ready to go hit it. Just hoping to get a few extra yards. The customization is cool but dont think it's necessary. If anything I may set the face open.

when you bought it, did you not do a fitting then...so that you have an idea how you want to set it up

The excerpt from Hank Haney's book about Tiger is in Golf Digest this month and is worth a read. I thought it was going to be more of a hit piece and I'm not sure how I feel about HH cashing in like this, but it's pretty fascinating. HH comes off as a guy looking around and asking WTF a lot. Tiger comes off as a guy that got bored beating the hell out of everybody and that became lost when his Dad died.

No it's pretty simple to set up. I'm not a slicer I'm the other way I'm gonna start out with the weights neutral & face square to see how that goes. Depending on ball flight you adjust from that. There's 2 weights a 2g & a 12g & at neutral it's the 2 set at the heel & 12 towards the toe. To draw you switch the weights. then adjust the face if you need to. I thought about switching the weights & open face to see how that goes.

good luck...I would still think that if they put you on a launch monitor
you would be in the ball park before you start tinkering

I never been on a launch monitor just hit & watch. I still have my old driver & hit it pretty good just wanted something new. My old driver is a Nike Sasquatch with a grafalloy pro launch shaft.

Tiger has two top tens now probably and everybody acts like he can't do anything righht.

On a side note, shot an 84 today and couldn't buy a put. Played skins w my friends. The one guy in my group is the guy who gives himself 3-6 footers all day when he is out of the hole and then will boast of he beats u by one in stroke play. It's so annoying w people like that. Golf is a lot easier when u give yourself five footers all day.

you give him a mulligan a side too

No but he constantly improves his lie and stuff. If he is in a divot, if in fairway or rough.

He is my friend, but I am competitive so it bugs me so bad.

He is also the guy who gets mad when I hit good shots and always gets pumped up if I hit a bad one.

Call his ass out & you keep his score. I had a guy do that & the 2nd time we played I called him out. You can't 4 putt & make a par when when you're lying 3 on the green. If its a friendly game or the course is in rough shape maybe do winter rules.

Yeah my one buddy calls him out sometimes, but he does it so much it's crazy and I am at the point where I am just focusing on hitting the ball better, not too worried on score. It's just I know I am beating him and he'll walk around like he is better cuz his 'score' was better.

As long as you know it don't sweat but I'm sure he knows it as well. If a guy is really stinking it up I don't care if he tees the ball up in the fairway but the guy that thinks he's good & you beat by 10 shots easy & then it's somehow 2 at the end of the round or worse you lose pisses me off & I will call them out quick.

He claims to be a 3 handicap. But he is a 9 at best
