The Final Score is Different Without the Weather Delay

This just proves you can't handle a woman who can actually speak up and stand her ground. Pretty lame. When's the last time you got laid? Relax dude.

think about some of those catches yesterday those receivers caught balls thrown just for them I saw 2 tds where the coverage was good and the ball was thrown just right.. I think we get better at coverage and grier is the best qb we will see this year.
Tua will make us look stupid.

If we sell alcohol at a game, for a few hours, and expect everyone to have a 'safe driver's ready, that's an unrealistic expectation. There will be the drunk person who drives home safely. There very well might be the person who drives home $hit faced and gets in a car wreck.

Likely? Not really. Possible? Yes.

Lightning storms aren't much different. Likely? No. Possible? Very slim but yes.

So if we ban football during a thunderstorm then why do we allow the serving of alcohol at a sporting event?

Is the university/sports venue keeping people safe by serving alcohol during the game?

I don't even want to abolish the lightning rule, but if we're gonna cherry pick that's safe and not safe we shouldn't let some things (alcohol) be ok just because it's the norm.

(Thank you for a good discussion btw. I know has been a little heated at times but I never meant to offend. Just discuss.)

A university/sports venue is not liable for an individual’s decision to drive drunk and injure someone.

Next question.

There is a big difference between DUI deaths and lightning deaths, it is Apples vs. Oranges. One requires individual responsibility which can be controlled and the other is an act of nature which cannot be controlled.

WV said they were watching other games but I think you're confusing the hot dog part with the announcers.
No, they talked about how their coach had this happen before and his guys got low on energy in the second half so he made sure they got something to eat, so they would have energy. They had to settle for a field goal, I too think the game would have been much closer at least without the delay.

The exact same can be said for you. Others have provided nice arguments but you just sling around insults, disrespect, and meaningless gifs. Guess it makes you feel like a man. I dunno. I like replying to the actual people making compelling arguments. You've failed at least 10 times. Others have made good points.

Then obviously I’m making good arguments because you keep replying to me....

Now that you got my attention, when was the last time you got laid?
I want pictures:)

Oohhh I like you 😉.

True. But should we be serving alcohol at 2-3 pm knowing people will be driving home in an hour or two, most likely during rush hour?

Unless you’re a big money donor with skybox season tickets in Neyland, I’m pretty sure alcohol isn’t served at on campus stadiums in the SEC.

As for neutral site games where alcohol is served, the responsibility lies with the individual to determine how much alcohol they can consume before becoming impaired.

If you want to move the goalposts to the 40 yard line and suggest alcohol shouldn’t be served at all, then go for it.

You’ll never convince me it’s a bad idea to temporarily postpone a sporting event, concert, or any event held in an outdoor public venue due to lightning.

First of all this is categorically untrue. After Grier got over his first game jitters, WV was going to steamroll TN no matter when, where, or how the second half was played. Second, what a bunch of female sex organs to suggest such poltroonish nonsense. Third, I will concede the team played much better before they had to spend an extra hour of quality time with Conehead Cornbread. Fourth, see how LSU is playing? They will recruit those athletes in their sleep before TN has a prayer of being in the same stratosphere of talent. And it's all good.

This is a very well thought out response; thank you. Nothing rude but you still pointed out things. Although we disagree I think you wrote a good debate and I enjoyed reading it.

I feel like the majority of the people who have replied didn't read the body of my post. The first thing I say is I don't think we've won if there was no weather delay.

To the people saying "WV had to deal with the same delay."

@VolsLady-in-FL

It is all about money.

Let's talk your example, drunk driving accident that kills someone. Most people only get the minimum liability policy limits their state requires. NC is $35,000 and SC is $25,000. So a person injured or killed by a drunk driver is only going to get that much.

You have someone who gets injured or killed by a lightening strike, gets injured from a stampede by people because of fast approaching weather that was not reported in time by the stadium, you have million dollar policies in place to sue each the NCAA, bank of America stadium, etc.

While you may think it is stupid, companies have to take the steps to prevent something that they can in order to not have to pay $$$$.
